Superb, I'll be returning to this one again in the future! - great selection, solid mixing - you'll probably win your own competition with this, it's certainly deserving....

Maldonado actually had a life ban from Monaco after injurying a marshal. It was overturned when his wealthy father intervened. by sennais1in formula1

I understand about the problems with GMM as raised by that reporter a few months ago, but the hysteria surrounding any post by GMM is unfounded; I've followed any story that has GMM attribution more closely since, & 80-90% of the stories "check out"

Your common sense bullshit detector needs to be applied when they write about rumours and comments that are cobbled together from interviews on TV etc.. to read some of the comments about GMM one would think that they do nothing but spread false information, and that's just not the case.

Well have no fear Mark; soon they will figure the tyres out, and we'll have a regular old championship.

I think the best possible team for any driver to get into is McLaren - they are always at the front.

You know how people were saying that these two were already having a go at each other before F1? by Pamphletin formula1

Hmm - I would say half a wheel, given the amount of wheel banging incidents I have seen.

But anyway, there are plenty of ways it could have happened naturally; I don't follow GP2, so was more after an actual confirmation of my question from someone who does, because if he did do it intentionally it surely would have been big news in that series. He's definitely not afraid of muscling his way through the field though - I'm sure we'll see some fireworks in future; loved Grosjean and him battling in China

True - but when both wheels are side by side, they turn in the same direction, at the same speed. It's a weird one...

I would assume that the steering was broken, but it looked fine - Maldanado steered into Hamilton at Spa last year, so there's a precedent; it could be his go-to move when he gets pissed off.

May 15, 5:25 PM EDT Maldonado's win stirs controversy in Venezuela by zen_tmin formula1

I don't know that much about Venezuelan politics, apart from watching the revolution will not be televised, which paints the Chavez regime in a positive light, and lends some legitimacy to the Leftist uprising; it's a shame to hear so many stories that the socialist movement has not delivered on it's remit to improve the situation of your countries poor and unify the country...

There's a bit missing - the regulations [Drafted after McLaren stopped on track in Canada '10] also say you have to make it back to the pits, and are only allowed to stop if there is a "force majoure", thus the combination of both logically requires that you have at least 4l of fuel left to do your inlap and take a fuel sample. As the fault was human error, and could have been fixed when they knew about it, it's not considered "force majoure" - the bit that is surprising to me is that it applies across the board, I would have assumed that each session stands alone, and would have expected Q3 times to be deleted...

On your other comments - you cant use 2 fuels, they get scrutineered at any time, not just the end of Q3. Interestingly the fuels also have to be within +- 12 degrees C of ambient too, to prevent supercool fuels being used, also, the fuels are supposed to be normal road car fuels, although it's pretty clear that they have at least some enhancement above what goes in the pumps on the forecourts - I'm not sure how they regulate what is considered a deviation....
