Cool tip to get out of a project... by Dexauxin funny

In the REAL WORLD we're not dumb and know this already. In the REAL WORLD we don't have to write meaningless essays. In the REAL WORLD we learn real world skills. In school we learn how to bullshit.

I keep seeing feedback that says "that would have been hip 5 years ago" so what's hip Now? by misterdesimonein web_design

That is absolutely preposterous. I've been using the same 16GB sd card that came with my Droid 1 since 2009 and I have written gigabytes upon gigabytes of movies and music to it. I used to think I would kill it before I upgraded but it hasn't crapped out yet. I torrent a movie a week to the sd card with tTorrent since I got the LTE Droid 4 (about 10 movies so far) and it's AWESOME. Enjoy your sd card, they're disposable anyways at $10 for 16GB and multiple years of enjoyment.

I'm told you guys don't like OpenFeint & the other options on Android. (XPost from /r/gaming) by mburstinerin Android

That kind of seamless integration should be highly sought after, thanks for addressing that!

I heard there is a way to tether without my provider realising. Is this true? by hiddenhandin Android

[–]yaemes 2 points3 points ago

That is traceable and a piece of crap compared to android-wifi-tether or cm tether

Can I suggest linking the game saves to your default google account? That way there doesn't have to be a setup screen. We have value added and didn't have to fill out some bs form to get it.

I hate it actually. It's cocky.

If you're making a tool, ideally it shouldn't ever pop up, and if it does I should be able to dismiss it instantly. There is nothing the cloud can do for games. Achievements, leader boards...the only people that care about that stuff is the people that make tools like openfeint. Since the tool is mainly for your benefit, not mine, I want it to be invisible. I don't ever want to have to "set it up" for you.

I am so very thankful that you came here for advice, but users may want your tool to never rear its head or popup in any way, then how will you make money? I hear you have a game-save syncing feature. Something that I have always wanted in a game was this, but not quite like you are thinking. If you opt out of the online potion, I'd love for the game save to be backed up to the SD Card. Then when I get a new phone or flash a new ROM I can get back to where I was.

As a side note, I see absolutely no value in game syncing between devices. I have a Galaxy Tab 10.1 and a Droid 4 and I used them for different games. All the games on my Droid 4 do not exist on my GT10.1, so I would prefer not sending my game info to the cloud. At the very least it is wasteful of processing power, cloud storage, and data.

Their flagships no longer have these issues but I would stay away from the low end Samsungs.

Verizon Will End Unlimited Data Grandfathering If You Buy A 4G Phone From This Summer Onward - Time to switch carriers by aesamattkiin Android

[–]yaemes 0 points1 point ago

No, greed is the reason they're dropping unlimited plans. This guy is using .01% of 1 tower that's probably at 10% capacity in the first place. Not a big deal to an ISP like verizon.

Why are carrier variants necessary? by bbq1029in Android

[–]yaemes 37 points38 points ago

Because carriers confuse innovation with differentiation.

Songify for Android! by sevenandtwoin Android

[–]yaemes 14 points15 points ago

Really missed the boat on this one. Nobody's going to care now that the songify thing has died down so much. And then we'll see smule complain about how the android one didn't sell as well as the iOS one.

Regardless of any of this techno nonsense, with 512mb, you're going to have a bad time.

Finally finished v3 of the website - looking for feedback. by MoonMonstarin web_design

[–]yaemes 0 points1 point ago

Amazing! The only problem I see is when you click on a sidebar link and the images haven't loaded it kind of flips the fuck out trying to reflow the page over and over until it finally loads all the images. I would fix this by giving the images fixed sizes in the css so it wouldn't spaz.

Where do you think those issues came from then?

I have the Droid 4 so I love my hardware buttons but I'd like the action bar to be a bar on the screen, not wired to some unchangeable buttons, sometimes ones that aren't even labeled.

My Gallery of 15 Stunning Photos of Samsung Galaxy S III - For Those Who Think That It Is "Fuckin Ugly" by techsplurgein Android

[–]yaemes 0 points1 point ago

I bet it would look better in black. Those circles at the top look like shit. And the stupid fucking button is shaped weird, plus it shouldn't even exist. This phone could have been awesome, instead it is ugly.

[–]yaemes -1 points0 points ago

Hardware buttons, rounded corners, and the icon style are all a result of poor management.

He's cracking a joke at the engineers were the only competent people that worked on the Galaxy S III project, and that all other teams should have been replaced.

Because manufacturers are stupid.

And some better materials experts, and some better management, and some better photographers, and some better pretty much everything.
