This girl is cute, but come on... reddit just wants a female RPG to latch onto and this was the first viable candidate to come along.

My daughter was born 8.5 weeks early. This is her not giving one single fuck. by Schpsychin pics

Awesome pic. My daughter was born 11 weeks early. We got a badass here!

here she is almost 9 years later

I hope yours has as smooth a time transitioning out of that preemie stage as mine did. How much did she weigh?

True but most of them are going to have added sugar, and that was a hell of a lot of sauce in the pic.

Ghetto (Paleo) bowl:

Order two sides of meat and a side of guacamole. I forget the price but it comes out to like 6 bucks and change. Ask for a bowl to eat them out of, mix them all up, and you'll be surprisingly full for such a small purchase (due to high protein & fat content).

edit: I should note, this is the good kind of fat content. The fats in avocado and in the meat are highly beneficial.

Let's make our rubber stamping as obvious as possible.

Chipotle is actually a really easy place to find healthy options.

Yeah, I would suggest easing up on the sauce a bit. A good dry rub can go a long way as far as flavor's concerned. You can make paleo-friendly barbeque sauces, but I've found the taste to be a bit meh. I compromise by just looking for sauces with as natural ingredients as possible (i.e. no HFCS) and use it sparingly.

Yeah it definitely started off rocky. He would have been better off getting his groove back with straight playing and then experimenting more with the whale call, because he would have been able to recover better from weird notes.

Butter vs. Olive oil by telebastardin Paleo

[–]whitmell 0 points1 point ago

Thanks for that. I realize the original link is not comprehensive but a quick comparison of olive oil & butter (even conventional butter) shows, for the most part, that the quantities of omega-6 are higher in olive oil. Olive oil is also more oxidizable. I use both for different purposes; generally I'll cook with pastured lard, butter, or tallow, but if I need to marinate something I'll use olive oil. And sometimes I just want the taste of olive oil. They're both decent options, especially compared with refined seed oils.

Just when Trey started to really get a handle on the whale call (yes I know he'd used the Whammy since back in the 90's but not to the level he was using it early 3.0), he backed off of it. Which was fine, but right there in the later '10 shows there were some pretty good instances of him nailing it. Haters were hatin' though.

I can't believe somebody downvoted you for this. This is one of the most glaring omissions from current Trey, is copious use of the Boomerang, one of the things that made me fall in love with his style. He's starting to use it a little more though.

I'm just glad you meant "crush you had in elementary school" and not "crush you had on an elementary schooler". Threw me for a second.

Way to cut out just the part that supports your claim. You're part of the problem.

Fair enough, but "more effective in non-humans" doesn't mean "not effective in humans".

The first time I heard him was on Episode 68 of The Paleo Solution, and he was brilliant on that. He was on a later one as well (in the 90's maybe?). He was also on Chris Kresser's The Healthy Skeptic along with Robb Wolf for the "Paleo Nerd-a-thon" episode, that's another great one. He was on Livin' La Vida Low Carb once, and I recently heard one he did for Underground Wellness. I wish he went on more, I could listen to him for hours.

Stay macro, my friend

love it

And for the most part, I agree with your argument. I think category B is the only category that really needs to worry that much about full vs skim. The others would be categories D and E; preganant women and young children. I'm sure there are others but those two stand out as being groups that stand to benefit a lot from the CLA in full fat dairy.

Can I get some definitive evidence on that? Because doing a google search on that yields conflicting results. I tend to put a lot of stock into what Mat LaLonde says, he's a really smart guy (harvard biochemist) who is also really active in the fitness scene so he comes at it from the perspective of somebody who understands the practicality of this stuff. (Note the credit given to Mat for a lot of the info at the bottom of this article)

http://talktomejohnnie.com/supplements/increasing-igf-1

Perhaps you're talking about IGF-1 supplements as opposed to milk. As with most supplements, the results are usually better when you consume it in its natural context, due to cofactors which work together to help absorption. For instance, omega-3 being absorbed up to 9 times more efficiently when consuming fish vs. taking fish oil pills. According to the article I posted above, it appears that casein plays a role in assisting the absorption of IGF-1 (which of course you'd get from milk).
