You're pointing out the range and the average. That's less interesting than the percentile rank you hit. On your first attempt you did better than 34% of how people did nationally, which is pretty shitty. On your second attempt you performed better than 87% of people. That is much more impressive!

Trump picks the people he likes. End of story. It was very clear a few seasons ago that Annie Duke won over Joan Rivers, but since The Donald liked Joan better, he fired Annie. The worst offense was last year when Trump said that whoever raised more money and performed better on the task would win. Marlee raised more money and did a much better job on the task than John Rich, but John was named the winner.

I've been saying it from the beginning, but YJ needs to do 2 and 3 episode arcs like Justice League did. Those arcs made for great storytelling and character building. That said, I think they did an excellent job in the first season with all the characters and storytelling. Problem is: you generally only get an episode to catch a casual viewer. If you're doing a short 2-3 episode arc, you can get them. If it looks like they've gotta catch up on a ton of shit, they're not likely to be a repeat viewer.

Get instantfox. It's a great search tool and you don't even need the google search bar for it. You just type g, space, and then what you're searching for in the address bar. Works for amazon, youtube, wikipedia, all sorts of shit. It's really quite useful.

It's pretty far in (Season 3) but "From Fear to Eternity" just strikes me as pure Eureka: accidentally triggering the old doomsday device under the town, everyone trying whatever they can to stop it, lots of good humor, etc

Season 1 Episode 6, Dr. Nobel has the same premise. Fargo gets a new office in the bowels of GD and accidentally triggers a doomsday device (they have a lot of them at GD). They have to dust off some of the old folks at the Eureka retirement home to get them to help stop the thing. I especially liked the slowed down hero walk of a group of elderly scientists. One had a walker, another was in a wheelchair, but damn if they didn't pimp it like the hero walk in Armageddon.

Start off by talking about how you're good kids. You have decent grades, haven't been in trouble, no one is on drugs, and nobody has gotten pregnant.

Then move toward an empathetic response. "Mom, Dad, remember when you were our age? There was probably something you wanted to do like go to a concert and your parents didn't want you to go. I don't know if I'd really consider myself a fan... I mean, I watch the show, but that's because there isn't much on tv during the summer. I'm interested to see where they'll go with the aliens who aren't Skitters who are really running the invasion and why we haven't seen them yet.
