I like to shoot in RAW so I know I always have an original copy that can be modified. I use Lightroom to edit my photos. The problem is I'm still very new to the editing process and I'm not very good at it. I use a Nikon D40. Is there a preset that you can download for Lightroom that can be used to make the image appear like the JPEG version that you would get out of the camera (as if you had shot in JPEG)? I'd like to work with that rather than start from scratch. Is that possible?

Seeing that it's on funnyordie, I don't think it's meant to be taken very seriously.

Someone in my building named their wireless network "Router? I barely know her!"

Kills me every time.

I do this with the elevator. Whenever we leave our apartment, my bf tells me to call the elevator as he locks our door. "Oh, Elevator!!"

I don't think he finds it as amusing as I do.

Dine Out Vancouver! Post your experiences and recommendations here! by smileshighin vancouver

I went to the Diamond as a walk-in, I didn't realize they were participating in Dine-Out. $18 for three courses, it was a sweet deal and the food was pretty decent. Especially that caramel tart at the end, ohh...

They did, but there was a condition in it that said they have to stop playing movies of any kind at any time.

You picked the best possible place to see Radiohead for the first time. It's going to be insanely epic.

  1. Victoria
  2. Vancouver, BC
  3. Jeff Mangum, Destroyer, Radiohead, Flying Lotus, M83, St. Vincent, The Black Keys, GIRLS, GY!BE, Bon Iver, Dr. Dre & Snoop Dogg, Yuck, Wild Flag, Neon Indian, ETC.
  4. Kaputt by Destroyer
  5. Only time I've been was in 2006. Loved it but didn't think I'd ever be back because it's a long drive and it's just so damn hot! But the lineup was way too good to pass up this year and I can't wait to come back. So looking forward to Jeff Mangum, and Radiohead in the Coachella valley with 75,000 other people... that's going to be epic.

You can't bring in filled water bottles (even if they're sealed). But you can bring in an empty bottle (not metal) and you should be able to refill it inside. I think they have hoses or taps somewhere.

If you're camping though, you can definitely bring a ton of bottled water to drink. Just not into the festival.

Some unsolicited advice: aim higher. From your standpoint it might sound nice to have an easy, laidback job where you can browse the internets all day but trust me. It gets old fast and you'll sit around wishing you were doing something more worthwhile with your time.
