Maybe I didn't word this quite right... I guess the question that I am asking is who finds product placement appealing? As in "Oh Spider man enjoys a doctor pepper! I should to!". Or another example would be whenever I see a celebrity in a commercial my first thought is "how much did that cost company x", instead of "I want that product!"

I don't really feel either way. I appreciate the fact that this leads to less hate mongering in public places however on the other side of things I am uneasy with the big brother overtones implied with this.
