Vincent Kompany interview after QPR Game. Pure class. by infinitusloop3in soccer

I didn't say it was without the help of money assembling Man City. The players are so good though due to talent and dedication to football

Sports tribalism can be the worse.

Admiring cool players should never be dismissed. I didn't downvote you mate anyway. Not meaning to sound like a dick but this thought just ran through my head stating your opinion is not wrong is almost an oxymoron though.

Opinions are just opinions and anyone who downvotes when they disagree is making reddit a worse place to be.

I really wasn't expecting to enjoy this interview as a United fan. Didn't know why I clicked on it but that speech about realising childhood dreams, not about the money was really excellent. Felt truly cinematic which very few moments in real life do.

City have been an amazing team this year and the fact that Kompany never stopped believing is illustrative of the quality this team possesses.

Giggs banged his wifes sister. I love him as a player but thats pretty sick. I dislike Drogba on the pitch but stopping a civil war kinda gives him a clean slate

I agree that revelation space is a fantastic book. Didn't realise that its supposed to be an influence for mass effect. I only played ME2 though before I read it so maybe the parallels weren't so obvious

Wow angry much. Denying the problem doesn't ever seem to help anything. I didn't advocate getting pitchforks out or doing anything really.

Please fuck off from calling me a gullible fool. Everyone's capable of making mistakes, no need to attack anyone until they prove stubborn or dickish.

Google dictionary gave me these results because I checked before I entered the term not wanting to be wrong.

psy·cho·path A person suffering from chronic mental disorder with abnormal or violent social behavior

and

so·ci·o·path A person with a personality disorder manifesting itself in extreme antisocial attitudes and behavior and a lack of conscience

It seems stubborn ignorance not to acknowledge that these kids are sociopaths. How to deal with them is a frightening dilemma unfortunately. I really feel bad for his parents

DAE love the series, but hate the first few episodes? by Stysterin TheLastAirbender

[–]unsubscribeFROM 0 points1 point ago

Haven't watched it in a while and I only saw it with the commentary. The cheesiness did me in I remember as well as a feeling of revulsion that was completely a personal sense that things were wrong not an accurate unbiased review of the piece itself.

I also really didn't enjoy the 1st few episodes too though. Glad you liked it!

The father acting like a dick here explains why Ljajic might be so annoying that somebody would attack him.

Its the exact same on the school ground. The most spoilt kid whose parents are always protecting them are the most dickish and infuriating

Just picked up this trilogy. Any good? by Sconathonin Fantasy

Yes all 4 of the books are worth reading. The prologue of the 1st is amonst my favourite of all time.

Each character can be a bit hit and miss. There is definitely something for everybodies taste and no character is especially poor and all have strong personalities so they do feel alive.

The storys evolution and progression is excellent. Its has some of the best hidden twists I've yet experienced. Honestly some of the foreshadowing and plot turns are phenomenal.

My complaints are some of the politics are a bit too simple, some characters are a bit too obviously evil and sometimes people act like idiots and predictable things happen. None of this prevents the book from being enjoyable long term.

The story has amazing moments though that left me exhilarated. It feels a bit like a cross between Tad Williams and George R.R. Martin. Imagination and charm of Tad Williams combined with the bleakness of George R.R. Martin. The worst of Tad Williams long windness is removed but the subtlety and authenticity of ASOIAF is absent.

This quote from sfsite sums up my feelings

Simply put, The Kingdoms of Thorn and Bone is one of the finest traditional fantasy series of the past two decades. It's too bad that's not the same anymore as calling it a classic.
