I bought one about that size. If I remember correctly, he turned dark when he was stressed. We initially put him in a cardboard box to feed him pinheads (tiny crickets a little bigger than a flea). As soon as he got near one instead of eating it he changed from light green to dark and crawled to the corner of the box. I thought "christ, this $50 jellybean of a reptile we just bought is gonna' starve".

I didn't quite get the difference between "total monthly payment" and the "min monthly". I have $242k owed, $1562 is my monthly payment, 4.5% is the interest rate. When I plug the numbers in (the right place) it looks like an extra grand will take 20 years off my loan.

No debt other than the house. I'm putting in the max that my work matches into a 401k (my girlfriend says it's about 5%). I...don't think I have an IRA.

Wow, an extra grand(ish) a month can shave 10 years off the mortgage. That should be obvious to me but it wasn't.

Thanks! Succinct, exactly the info I was looking for. 4.5% on the mortgage. If both of us lost our jobs we probably have just under a year of expenses. After that, rats and lawn clippings it is!

Sorta'. I had a similar problem when I first installed a bunch of mods where the game would launch to a totally black screen but I could hear the cinematics going on behind it. I had to change the game resolution (through one of the mod guis) to the same resolution as my desktop.

I had to use a scythe like that when I was a kid (my father was on a "back to the old ways" kick for a couple decades). Clearing a tennis court sized area was a full body workout. But when you were done it really felt like you'd accomplished something, and your ears weren't ringing from an obnoxious gas engine.

Very sorry to hear about your father. I think it's very wise of him to make these decisions now.

Maryland School for the Deaf: Delivering to a common/recreation area. Sensory overload. Usually there were about 25 teenagers running around screaming and moaning unintelligibly at the top of their lungs. Two giant tv's at either end of the hall on different channels turned up so loud you could feel it in in your knees. Instant headache.

Across the street from MSD: A woman that lived on the upper floor of an old Victorian that was divided into apartments. She'd always open the door and leave the chain on. Without saying a word she'd look out to make sure you were alone then close the door for a minute. Then she'd open the door again, hand you money and because the chain was still on the door you'd have to turn the pizza box on it's end slide it through the doorway.

Random apartment: (not pizza, I think it was pit beef sandwiches) Guy opens the door, I say start to say hi and he turns away from me and screams "YOU ORDERED FUCKIN' FOOD!?! YOU STUPID BITCH!" I can hear a woman scream-crying from the other room "I'm sorry, I'm stupid I know!" He just stands there screaming at her about how they're always broke and she's the dumbest person in the world because she never cooks, the house is a shit-hole, his truck always breaks down, etc. He just lays into her about how shitty life is and it's all her fault. She starts screaming her piece about how she's miserable too and every other sentence is "I'm just a dumb fucking blonde." He finally hands me a credit card (they're both still screaming at each other) and I awkwardly make an impression of it and get him to sign. He slammed the door and they kept at it. I stood outside the door for a few minutes to make sure he didn't start smacking her.

I saw that site but I missed the part about the museum. I like the bottle but I don't think I'd hang on to it if it was really worth something (financially or historically). I'd rather it be with someone who really appreciates it.

I wanted a vine covered tea party in a raised bed. My girlfriend talked me out of the raised bed part. I took a couple cheapo Ikea chairs that were falling apart, put a thrift store table between them and threw some seeds under them. Originally I wanted to make two people out of chicken wire and put them in the chairs but other projects took precedence. They took pretty well and covered the fence. One day I noticed they had reached a coax line that hangs from the roof down the side of the house. So I wrapped a few vines around it and they took off.

I usually just let them reseed and go brown. The vine usually falls apart on it's own.

Our property was pretty much left wild for a few years before we bought it. It's an invasive species battleground. The English ivy is winning.

It's weird, there's literally only about six blossoms on the whole thing. I'm not sure if they're going to come in later (they were planted mid summer) or if I got a bum batch.
