I decided to go to Rattlesnake. Glad I did, even though it was very crowded all the way up to the main overlook. The parking lot was very full and I parked up at Cedar Falls lot. However, not many people hiked farther than the overlook and it was eventually pretty peaceful. There was no snow until I got a mile or so beyond the main overlook. Then it soon became fully covered in packed snow. It got a little tricky to hike, especially going back down - poles would have been nice at that point, but it was worth it to not deal with them at all this time. I was comfortable in a shirt, light pants and boots.
