In my defense, I saw this on tumblr and went straight here to post it.

Third times a charm. by thogervoin gallifreyan

Thank you! This particular piece took me about three tries to get right, so I made sure it was in its best condition before I presented it again.

My inspiration for the question stems from this video. About how high up is he do you think?

Windsor clockwork.. Is this a good frame to build up? by sgtdemeoin FixedGearBicycle

I've heard The Hour has a better frame build, something about butted welds and the like. But then again, I might be a little bit biased.

Need help in converting another one. by BlueGunterin doctorwho

"Midnight" is a good one in my opinion. It's a little tense, but the acting is good, the episode is strong, and it has a little bit more to offer than just entertainment; it makes you think.

Edit: Now that I think about it, it might be a little scary.

I could give it a try if you would like. I think I'll do numbers 1-11 at first and see how that blows over.

One of my favorite quotes. by thogervoin gallifreyan

"As we learn about each other, so we learn about ourselves."

It's by William Hartnell in The Edge of Destruction.

At least that's what I hope it says, the recent "How did I do?" post was my first attempt.

What do you create your images in? by SmileAndGlassesin gallifreyan

I use Adobe InDesign. It's like photoshop but a little bit more document friendly. I imagine Adobe Illustrator would work wonders as well.

Ordered a Windsor Hour. A few questions for other owners. by D2S8FTWin FixedGearBicycle

Congrats on buying the bike! I bought one a few months ago and I absolutely love it.

I would recommend buying a new front brake caliper altogether. There are some sturdy Origin8 models for around $20 that have yet to fail me, and they don't look too bad either. Next I would recommend new handlebar tape, and if you want to spend a little more, new handlebars. The standard bars they come with were a little odd for me, and the tape was pretty thin.

Otherwise, enjoy the bike and update us if you build it up at all!

Oops! It's supposed to be "As we learn about each other, so we learn about ourselves." Any advice for the word "ourselves"?

Know of any good places to buy a deep rear wheel? by thogervoin FixedGearBicycle

[–]thogervo[S] 0 points1 point ago

Buying a new rim is definitely an option I did not consider before. I've never built a wheel, but there is a place nearby that might help me. Isn't it not very cost effective however?

I'll look into contacting someone for a single, thanks for your help.

That watch is beautiful, the silver case version doubly so. You've helped me add yet another watch to my "to-buy" list.
