A question to libertarians/Ron Paul supporters. by ebleesin ronpaul

You're coming from a voluntarist/an-cap point of view. We're not there yet. What's important now is promoting people like Paul who are topically consistent and gifted with the ability to speak a peaceful message in a manner that everyone can understand.

With that said, yes, all human organization should be based on peer-to-peer and group consent. However, if you look at history, you'll note that we've just barely crawled out of some seriously dark times. Humanity is a very long experiment that gets better as it matures. A shit ton has happened in the last 100 years alone. Eventually we'll get to a "voluntarist society;" what's important now is galvanizing our efforts, not obstructing them.

If you're looking for something more in-depth, in podcast form, that covers Rome up until it's fall from relevance, then check out The History of Rome. Unfortunately it doesn't cover much of the Byzantine Empire, but still quite a good listen.

If you want to change the system, you must use their tactics. The power structures are not designed to be changed any other way. You may object to it, which is fine because this is your government too!

Go stand in front of a bank with 12 of your closest friends, shouting for monetary reform. Change will definitely happen then. Or you could start a web petition at whitehouse.org, that will get things done!

They are leveling the playing field. Money and the RNC establishment still heavily outweigh Ron Paul and his supporters.

The (Very) Painful Truth (x-post from r/libertarian) by richmomzin ronpaul

[–]therapest 0 points1 point ago

This is unfair and skirts the issue. If a people design a government that supports egalitarian social nets while heavily regulating private enterprise, then they should have every right to establish that form of government. Big government doesn't always result in insufficiency or oppression. Just as a stateless society may not ferment liberty. The bearers of power can utilize both private and public controls to get what they want. The key is consent from the people and responsibility of office. Powers structures tend to lose their way when they are not held accountable. Now only if there were some established authority that extended real power to the states that also localized issues so those in power could be regulated by those who are actually affected...

I run at least 3 miles every other day or every day. I do the weight routine just about every day using dumbells, barbell, speed rope and strength training exercises/stretches. I also try to run every time I drink, which is just about every night lol.

CNN Asks Ron Paul To Drop Out & Endorse Romney Despite His Chances To Win 5/9/12 by alanXin ronpaul

Holy shit what a prickly bitch.

Ron Paul has been asked the same set of leading questions probably hundreds of times now. You would think an anchor would try to be a little more inventive than that. CNN is a joke.

Ron Paul Might Actually Win Republican Nomination (Yes Seriously) by kissingthelipless101in ronpaul

[–]therapest 1 point2 points ago

Yeah I read the same in this politico article: http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0512/76125.html

I'm honestly a bit suspicious of the media's sources recently as they have been less than prudent in covering the election.

Unreligious. After death sticks a lot easier than anno domini. Silly argument anyways because historians mostly use before the common era and common era as a more neutral and less archaic standard.
