Here is a blurry, twelve-second video that shows absolutely nothing concrete, yet also proves my point without question.

here is a bunch of statistics and words

I'll be using this from now on whenever I make a wild claim, but don't have the time to back it up.

You know, I've read some absolute bullshit during my time here on Reddit, but this might actually be the most full-of-shit, piss-poor ad hominem attack I've ever come across. I mean, holy shit! The only comforting thought I have is that your comment is so off-the-wall fucktarded that I have to assume you're trolling.

EDIT-- I'm using "fucking" far too much tonight... tiredness makes me cranky I guess <3

A lack of sleep combined with trying to argue logically with people who are blinded by their own confirmation bias will bring out the fuck bombs in the best of us.

I now like to believe that there are professional door kickers out in the world. They do nothing else but kick down doors that others can't.

A lot of what made The Wire what it was was thanks to David Simon. You talk about a journalist/writer dedicated to capturing reality, with no interest in "spin." His novel "Homicide" is fucking incredible.

That's what c_hannah was referring to. Their point is that Hitler used Germany's failure in World War I as another example of how "the Jews" undermined Germany's success, despite the fact that Germany couldn't have won regardless of who Hitler would later blame. c_hannah's argument is that, despite how a "two-front war was not winnable," Hitler would later still blame Germany's "internal" enemies for their failures in WWI to bolster support.

An unhappy soldier is one that is far less likely to convince his/her friends to join up

Give me a break. It's not like people are lining up in droves to sign up for the military because they have friends who recommended it.

Two of my closest friends are in Afghanistan right now, and apart from actually having to do a tour there, they love being in the military. However, that doesn't mean that their enthusiasm is suddenly going to convince everyone else to drop everything and sign up.

When you give someone your script to read, should you start to make changes, based on their notes, if they've only read it once? I've had people give exact opposite notes after a 2nd read... by kittytimein Screenwriting

[–]theghostofme 1 point2 points ago

Are they the same person, though? If someone changes their mind after reading it a second time, that's one thing. But if Person X reads it through once and suggests you do one thing, and Person Y reads it twice and suggests you do the opposite, that's not necessarily indicative of anything; people just have different opinions.

The thing with notes and suggestions is that, unless there's something glaringly obvious that needs fixing, you're always going to get varied feedback, because it's all very subjective anyway. The thing to really pay attention to is if multiple people have voiced their opinions on the same thing (whether their opinions are praise or criticism).

Lesson: Childish retaliation is totally cool if the person you're arguing with is acting childish as well.

I love it when this happens when trying to troubleshoot. It's like the chair making that makes a farting noise and you desperately try to repeat it so everyone knows it was the chair, not you.

That aside, harassed is probably right. The "Start In:" dialog box may have been empty.
