After reading about the whole golden ratio theory re: In Rainbows, I spent aaaages trying to hear "in rainbows" being sung during Reckoner. Then, after never hearing it, I gave up. That's when I started hearing it, and I can no longer unhear.

Oh God, me neither. It's so weird. Made me think that it was an actual war recording (which would have been too much) but it turned out it's from the film Three Days of the Condor.

Still, it's creepy as hell and I can't not hear the "this is the panic office..." bit.

Things I'll experiment with:

Change the colour of the big mic to white and remove the "on air" thing. I quite liked that but I'm open to seeing what it's like without.
Make one version without "...introducing" and "...and never be found", and one with "and never be found again" (a.k.a. the correct song title! Doi. Thanks to Illum503 for pointing that out).
Make an edition with a different font. The font seems quite divisive! To be honest, the way that the various images came out when I turned them to white reminded me of "Golden Age of Hollywood" posters so I carried on that motif. It's not particularly relevant to the song, however, so I'll give it a change.

Well according to QI, "England" was used as a term for "Great Britain". Apparently Disraeli signed off treaties as the "Prime Minister of England" and noone gave a shit. It wasn't until the reprise of Scottish and Welsh nationalism that people started to kick off about it.

I'm a Scot living in England and I should say that I correct people whenever they refer to the UK as "England". People here should know better, but I can understand why Americans - or any foreigners for that matter - make the mistake. It's similar to the whole Holland - Netherlands thing.
