I'm looking for realistic crops for a Dungeons and Dragons game, that could be planted around midsummer and will have a hope of being harvested.

NOT potatoes, tomatoes or corn. Potatoes and corn were brought back to Eroupe from America so not present in the medieval diet. People thought that tomatoes were poisonous.

Carrots grow fairly quickly and existed in purple and white verities in Denmark. Orange carrots were't common until (I think) sometime in the mid 1700s. Lots of grain crops were grown, barley, wheat, oats. Your players could put a late crop of any of those in and (its a stretch but also its a game) have a harvest by early winter.

Peas and beans (think kidney) and beets were all common. Those are probably your best bet. Your players may even be able to get more than one crop of peas in as they do tolerate cold fairly well.

On Wings: Because my thighs touch when I walk/sit/exist pads without wings tend to bunch up on me which leads to leaks. Leaks are bad. Therefore I am a wing girl. My mom (who also has thighs that touch) swears to have EXACTLY same problem with wings. So yeah. But I'm not completely convinced that my mom isn't just lying to avoid admitting I'm right about wings.

What one eats can REALLY affect the smell. Lots'o'meat = icky, fruit and veggies = yummy. Works for guys too. Once went out with a guy who tasted like pineapple.

Reddit seems to always think that dumping a s/o is the best option, I don't usually agree, but in this case I think that maybe an exception is in order.

You've tried talking, he's not listening. It may be time to deliver an ultimatum, something along the lines of "If this relationship is important to you then show me or I'm leaving."

You could go the passive-aggressive route and just stop doing everything. It would probably just reinforce whatever negative ideas he has about women but it might be amusing.

Have you tried talking to him about it in very frank terms? Like you did in the title? I have not had a problem like this personally but I have a lot of guy friends and I have noticed that when it comes to serious "talks" they all tend to shut down unless I come at whatever the problem may be in a very direct manner. Not sure if it will help but it shouldn't hurt to try.
