Oh, absolutely.

Let me phrase it a different way, then. We have a dog, and a cat. We want to make something look like a lion. In the case of MAC, Windows, and Linux, is it actually easier to make the dog (windows) look like a lion (emulate its software) vs something that has a lot of the same functionality (making the cat look like a lion).

Or is it a flawed analogy?

EDIT: not lion as in Mac OS Lion. Lion as in rawr big kitty lion.

Thank you - you've stated it exactly how I wanted to.

It makes sense, theoretically, that we could do this. What I don't know is at what point it stops being Unix/BSD and starts being OSX, and whether the software we run on OSX is even able to be "emulated" (or not, in WINE's case).

I'm using AirBNB for the first part of the week with a room-mate (another speaker) but he leaves early and I stay for the 2nd event. I had GREAT luck in L.A. with AirBNB - my host was AMAZING.

When I dehack client's website, the first question I ask is "how long ago did you update". The worst answer I ever got was "never" (o.o) but I've heard anything from a few weeks to even a few months.

Point releases (3.2 to 3.2.1) should be done without question. Major releases (3.2.1 to 3.3) can be done once you've backed up, and if there's an issue you can always restore.
