Someone at Cottonelle actually approved this idea. Marketing has reached a new low. by Zoshchenkoin marketing

[–]ster_ster_ster 1 point2 points ago

People seem to forget the purpose of marketing. In the end it doesn't matter if its funny, stupid, or pisses you off. All that matters is that you do the desired action. Zoshchenko has done a great job proving this one.

Do you and Dr. Drew still hang out and talk often like you did while loveline was running? What is it like being friends with such a passionate, passionate man?

Also just wanted to let you know that my xbox live name is ACExROCKOLA and I occasionally give people surprise lightning rounds. Thanks for the laughs.

YSK the top 10 myths about introverts by sm0kiin YouShouldKnow

Wow. There was one fact to back up any of this information. It's cool that some introvert made a list of why people should think he is interesting.

I'm just going to go rogue here and talk about something awesome a relative did for me as a gift. One time on my birthday when I was 16 my aunt gave me a check and a card as usual, but instead of the normal $50 (which is plenty to begin with) she gave me $500 dollars and simply said "no drinking and driving ever". I am now 21 and I am yet to drive drunk.

Most electronic musicians do. The few who do not are pretty much just DJs.

What important thing/issue/person do you give absolutely no fucks about? by l1vewirein AskReddit

I agree 100% on this one, but I must say I understand the atheism angst. They are a part of one of the most quietly discriminated against groups in America. I would be scared shitless to tell the family of a girl I was going to marry that I didn't believe in God. Some people just don't realize how hard it is for atheists to be honest about their lack of faith around close family and friends. If you are an atheist I'm sure you understand. Also, I am currently living in South Carolina (not originally from here) and the level of prejudice these people have toward non-Christians is amazing. I work at a Lowes and I would be concerned about losing my job if I ever told the people I work with that I am not a Christian. I've heard the shit my boss says about people who don't accept Christ and I don't think he would be comfortable working with them.

There is really nothing "overpaid" about athletes. They make a ton of money because they generate a ton of money. They bring money into cities and states and get a portion of that money as a result. Larger revenue generation = Larger Portion.

Help an Aussie pick a team to support! by Cyxdin mlb

[–]ster_ster_ster 4 points5 points ago

As an Orioles fan (we are in the same division as the Rays) I must say this is a good choice. The rays have really done the impossible in creating a quality franchise. That being said, if you want to cheer for a real underdog you should go with the Orioles! We suck every year but still have great fans and team culture.

Mind=Blown by LurkerByChoicein atheism

[–]ster_ster_ster 1 point2 points ago

This is the atheist equivalent of Christians quoting the Bible to defend themselves. Anyone who believes in a higher power would think their God/Gods/Goddess would just speak to someone else and tell their tale because... you know... it makes perfect sense that a deity would just pick a few random people to tell their story to and have the rest of humanity believe on faith of those individuals.

I'm an atheist, but the fact that I will someday die and cease to exist, and that sometime after that everything in the universe will die gives me really awful panic attacks. Is this normal? Does anyone else feel like this sometimes? by mrforrestin AskReddit

This song has always kind of helped me. Its a nice peaceful view of existing/not existing. Maybe looking at the lyrics after listening a time or two would help to. I feel the same way sometimes though. Its not like we are atheist because we don't want to go to heaven, we are atheist because we just don't see any reason why it would exist. We are very fortunate to have whatever time we have on this planet. Enjoy it good buddy.

A Question from a Beginner about playing bass guitar with other players. by messibruin musictheory

[–]ster_ster_ster 2 points3 points ago

Victor Wooten is nuts. His stuff may be a little advanced to learn from but it will inspire you to bump that bass.
WARNING: I have blown out two sets of computer speakers listening to him. I would do it again in a heartbeat.
