The whole reason people compare them is because its Microsoft vs Apple. Gates didn't get really big into charity until he left Microsoft. Its not Microsoft helping these people; its a retired, independent billionaire giving away his personal fortune.

The best part is that the actual microcontroller, the ATmega, costs only $5 and can be swapped out when you're done programming it. The $35 Arduino board is for programming and prototyping the microcontroller. So if you want to give away or sell a completed project, you're only out $5 and can reuse the board as much as you want.

I don't think its possible to do that, unless there's some kind of tool where you can edit DS games using a slot 2 flashcard. You could instead just trade it to somebody running the game from a flashcard and get them to rename it, then trade back.
