Me and my buddy did this when they came through vegas in 06 and in 09, with his C6 corvette. Nothing like chasing an SLR down the empty straight highways at 180mph. The SLR just blew by when the Corvette was at that speed too. I recently drove the 2012, found it to be pretty sloppy through the corners. The genesis coupe and mazdaspeed3 were much better behaved. I haven't tried the STi yet though.

I recently drove the 2012, and while nice, it still paled in comparison to the Mazdaspeed3, way more fun to drive. Another contender is the Genesis Coupe 2.0T (the v6's power delivery sucks, does not feel faster).
