will revise the penalty for simple drug possession under state law from a felony to a misdemeanor. The legislation will not change the penalties for sale, transportation, manufacture, or possession for sale

Reinan said the allegations against the center border on egregious. He said the center tries to drive a wedge between parents and teens.

"AFIC staff had told the son (of one of my clients) to stay away from his mother because his mother wanted to have sex with him. Which is just ludicrous."

Reinan said the center also conducted sexual examinations of teens without their parents consent.

A 14-year-old rape victim was ordered to strip and touch her toes while three people stared at her from behind for no apparent medical reason.

When the girl resisted, the staff at Adolescent and Family Institute of Colorado threatened to tell other teens at the treatment center that she had a sexually transmitted disease — even though she didn't. She then submitted to the "humiliating" exam, a lawsuit alleges.

AFIC is led by president Alexander Panio, an unlicensed therapist who obtained his doctorate from California Coast University, a distance-learning program that has been described as a diploma mill by federal regulators.

When students first enter the residential home, they are subjected to "institutional sexual abuse conducted under cover of a routine physical," the lawsuit says. The exams allegedly included touching and measuring sexual organs for no medical reason.

lawsuit also alleges they would take kids off psychological and other medications including one kid with diabetes off his insulin. if true I hope the law suit success and the state nails them for every single law violated as many times as they broke it.

I wish someone could offer the politicians a nice dose of syrup of ipecac and ask them to use it after every thing they eat and drink for one day and then say they think cancer patients don't deserve relief from such torture.
