Well, I would, but I turn 18 on November 26th. Is there any way I can contribute to Obama's campaign without voting?

Of course. I'm going with an awesome friend who's a badass in self defense, so no worries in that area.

God. Hearing him play Orpheo Looks Back live would make the Earth explode from the sheer amount of awesome.

Oh, yeah. I've seen those infographics and its shocking how spread out, but still concentrated in pockets it is. I feel terrible for people living in the city that have to walk to school and stuff....

I'd consider the metro area all of the main whiter-than Wonder Bread suburbs that are kind of sprinkled around it, but that's because that's where I've lived in my life.

I'm not terribly familiar with the inner part of Detroit, but yeah, parts of it are definitely shady.

Is all of Woodward shady? I'm going to the Filmore on Thursday to see Andrew Bird. -crosses fingers to not get mugged-

The suburbs/metro area of Detroit are a completely different beast than the actual inner city.

AP U.S. History exam is coming up. Do you have any advice for studying and the essays? by dotdapplein highschool

[–]sejine 0 points1 point ago

As an alum of the terror of APUSH, let me say one thing.

IF YOUR TEACHER DOES NOT GO OVER IT IN CLASS, REVIEW THE SHIT OUT OF IT. I cannot emphasize this enough. Last year's DBQ was on Vietnam, Nixon, and Watergate. We only got up to the 50's, and the main reason I got a 4 without answering my 3rd essay is because I had reviewed the crap out of the 50s and onward on my own time.

Make sure you have the general gist of events, ideas, etc. Then, once you know those, get your shit down into the nitty gritty.

For the record, I crammed like a pro the two weeks before and stayed at several after school sessions. Getting a good score can be done, but you have to work at it.

I'm sorry, but that whole "LET'S CONVERT THE AMAZING ART INTO CHEAP SHIT FOR MONEY" made me abandon ship entirely.

Yeah, yeah, I know, UCs and all that, but holy crap they're so hard to get.

I miss the RS & Chat on the AC so much though. Fantastic people.
