It's clear Bud Selig the league hates Canada, they can't stand to see the world series won outside of the States.

*Upvote this post to keep it at the top of the page for everyone to see over the weekend*

Awesome, I like this idea much better, hopefully we have some good polite conversation over there :)

Edit: I just noticed that they have some Blue Jays flair over at /r/TexasRangers so make sure to use it!

I was on the exact same spot where that picture was taken just 45 minutes ago going 20km/hr at 12:30-12:45pm on a Friday, no accidents, no construction, just traffic.

Getting lots of snow in the winter is another good reason, also traveling up north to the cottage/summer home with lots of dirt and muddy roads but I still believe that a AWD impreza with a skid plate (improves milage anyways) and a slight lift should handle those roads and snow just fine.

I wish some sedans would bring back the bench seat in the front.

Took my SV650 to a Honda Powersports dealer to get my tires mounted. Apparently this is what they think of my bike... (xpost from r/svriders) by v4vendettain motorcycles

I'm still in the process of cutting and peeling but if you haven't got one of those cool rideit stickers and would want one let me know and you can pick it up from me sometime (free).

I will be doing one of those give aways soon but I plan on keeping a stock for local rideit members.

Also if you haven't done it yet I recommend going on the BAD ride this weekend, info here: http://www.thebadride.com/.

At least explain why he is a idiot, just telling him so won't allow for him to improve in the future.

I know they have the capibilities (most likely) to record them without mics since they have parabolic microphones set up around the infield at the dome (look at the in the action seats at first and third and behind the 2 new Jays logos next to the rolling ads behind the plate).

"Lawn Gnomes" is his new nickname in case you missed it.

How do you guys deal with drunken/obnoxious fans around you? Or am I just turning into an old fart? by ilikefartingin Torontobluejays

Unfortunately there are a select few who hate baseball but chose to attend games with a group, at least they support the team and buy merch and tickets.

I assume you live in the 'states? What state if you don't mind me asking?

Here is the Model A Ford Club of America website: http://www.mafca.com/

Looks like a '29-'31 Ford Model A pickup truck, should be around 30-35k in showroom condition which it appears to be in the photos.

My dad owns a '31 Model A as well, the coupe model, they are really great cars. I would strongly recommend trying to find some local cruise nights or classic car clubs also the Model A club of america for places to take the car to show off and talk with other classic car owners and allow the community to see what a wonderful car he has.

Edit: Album: http://imgur.com/a/2R33L

Edit 2: Also they are great cars that have thousands of parts and accessories availiable, ever have a birthday, fathers day is coming up in a few weeks, over the holidays there are lots of different places that you can go to get more stuff for his car that I'm sure he would really love, we are in Toronto, Ontario and I've found the best place is MAC's in Buffalo, NY, they make for great gifts and some of the smaller stuff is REALLY affordable (like keyrings and pins, signs etc).

The bottoms up cups made me notice the really high percentage of idiots out there... "Hmm, I wonder what would happen if I hold my full beer over my head and try to poke my finger through the bottom of the cup".

I was standing next to a guy who said that last year and I thought he was joking, until he was wearing $10 worth of beer.

So, I just discovered r/DIY and thought I'd share this. In 2007, my family and I (mostly my dad) put in our own in-ground pool with an 8-foot deep end. We put a LOT of work into it and saved thousands of dollars. Here is an album of the whole process. by LogicaRexin DIY

There is only one thing that comes to mind. Would it be possible for the pool to be built more like the basement of a house with a foundation than like a pool would be built today and like a house it wouldn't float out of the ground?

Then I guess everyone is doing it wrong here?

It worked well for them for the 40 years they owned the house/pool, I'm not even close to being a expert on the subject but I know we never had any issues aside from the time we didn't fully drain the pipes and had to have them fixed and it was fun to mess around in the empty pool before they filled it for the summer.

Would it have something to do with a pool built in the 50s or 60s that is different from current standard (eg more concrete or being built more like a building than a pool) that makes draining possible?

I guess it might be a british sort of thing, in the style of the more recent top gear episodes like the vietnam special where they travel to vietnam and get bikes and travel almost the entire country on cheap scooters and start the episode with a line like "Today James May falls off a scooter and Hammond gets a pink helmet". Honestly I'm not really sure anymore it was the first thing to come to mind when I was thinking of a title.

I'm not really sure but I just remember that every year they used to haul out a massive pump, fire hose and run it to the street and everyone else around the area usually on the same weekend would do the same thing.

Even today its a sign of winter coming around the city when you drive around and see pool water flooding out onto the streets into the sewers.

That reminds me of an old story when my grandparents shocked the pool with chlorine and a couple snuck in a few hours later in the middle of the night for a nude swim, they never tried it again and the swim didn't last too long.

At my grandparents old place we had to drain it in the winter, if the water froze and expanded it would destroy the pool, I guess in warmer climates it's not as necessary but I know that a complete drain every fall is standard for everyone in the area.
