Brilliant design treatment for HP; HP decided to go in a different direction. Why?! by diewhitegirlsin technology

Why?

Because it is fucking stupid, is why.

If you shut your eyes, you'll swear he has a much larger organ! by sagewahin Music

With your eyes open it's pretty obvious. But the pun doesn't really work if you say he has a much larger accordion...

I keep seeing N64's being shown as some sort of nostalgia. I had this when I was a kid. I'm old. :/ by SplodeyDopein gaming

Im just going for a smoke break by factory81in WTF

[–]sagewah 1 point2 points ago

I had pneumonia a while back and did this. Had to walk (was more of a shuffle) a long way to get to the smoking area, while attached attached to a hat stand via various tubes.... so glad I quit.

Has anybody got that post from a month or so back where he said this is EXACTLY what they'd do to shut everyone up?

Reddit, I need some help... How do I tell kids that their Grandmother passed away? by scuby22in AskReddit

You can either go all weekend-at-bernies on them and hope they dno't notice, or just straight up tell them.

Sorry for your loss.

Older members of reddit, what were things like before 9/11? by ATinySpaceshipin AskReddit

Look at it this way: when I heard on the radio that a plane full of people had flown into a building, my first thought was that some air traffic controller somewhere had fucked up. It didn't even occur to me that it was a terrorist act. When the second one hit.. then it seemed more of a deliberate than an accident.

Any decent places for public sex (at night preferably) in Brisbane? (NSFW) by dicksandthrowawayin brisbane

Personally, I like to pay attention to what I'm doing :)

Welcome to the Jungle was playing in the bank today. It's been 25 years and now it's an oldie, but back in the day owning that sort of music might get you your ass beat by your parents. They were the real deal. TDS didn't come with the cardboard cover and the booklet etc, which is a shame as mine got water damaged at some point, but it's nice to have legit CDs to play in the car rather than burned copies of the originals - which, despite what some cough itunes cough would have you believe, do not sound as good as the originals (if you compress them, of course).

Is it me, or did they completely overlook the point of a mountain? Sure, climbing it is impressive but other than giving a couple of guys something to do while they figure out how they're going to earn a living its not really that useful.

I've heard - only rumours, a long time ago - that there are spots up on Mt. Cootha that are frequently deserted, one in particular having a spectacular view of the city (not that you'll notice).

Sometimes it isn't easy to go placidly amidst the noise and haste. Sometimes, you just want to punch a motherfucker.

You want really brutal?

I bought copies of The Downward Spiral and Nevermind again recently because my originals were a little worse for wear. I found them for $5 each in the same cardboard bin as Neil Sedaka and Dolly Parton CDs.

TV vs TV tuner card? by donkeynostrilin hardware

[–]sagewah 0 points1 point ago

I'm using a decent TV tuner - actually, cost me quite a bit back in the day - and an (admittedly) pretty good TV. the TV works just fine about 90% of the time with just rabbit ears (whereas analogue TV was unwatchable); the TV tuner only picks up the 3 strongest stations and NEEDS a connection to the house antenna to be really useful. YMMV.
