It depends. Most people on the "left" are just partisan idiots and that's something that the election of Obama gas demonstrated. The real left is really different from the right. I have tried but I haven't found deep intellectualism on the right. It really is fear driven and blind allegiance to the God "free market".

I knew someone in college that thought that when something happened to the world in cartoons it really happened here. She told me that when she saw the world explode on a cartoon she would freak out and go out to see what was happening. I literally LOLed when she said it.
