A graph of Dwyane Wade's shooting percentage in the last three games by SparkleMotion42in nba

If any player could consistently shoot 70% on deep baseline jumpers, he would easily be the best scorer ever.

Postgame video from when the Thunder were 3-29. We've come a long way. by NUbZhangin nba

[–]rjvir 5 points6 points ago

No they did terrible that year, and as a result got the #3 pick in the 2009 draft, James Harden. They became the 8th seed in the playoffs the following year.

GAME THREAD: San Antonio Spurs (2-0) @ Los Angeles Clippers (0-2) - (May. 19, 2012) by CyberBot129in nba

Just have CP3 throw it off someone's leg or something, or do one of his own flops to stop the clock. Or, even make an intentional foul at the defensive end. It's not that hard to make a substitution.

TNT Overtime on Andrew Bynum. Totally Agreed by kvn2in nba

[–]rjvir 3 points4 points ago

If anything, he was being modest by saying "maybe" Shaq and not saying it so definitively. It's extremely certain that his jersey will eventually be retired next to Kareem and Wilt, but Shaq had the modesty to at least acknowledge that it hasn't happened yet.

Greed is good. by Literal_Leein nba

That should be in the NBA Forever video.

The San Antonio Spurs have lost only 4 games in the last 2 months. by poorlittlemonkeyin nba

They've already proved everyone wrong when they said they were too old in 2007.

And that's why DeAndre Jordan only averages 7 points.

Clippers fans, this is why we have a bad rep. by InsaneDon12in nba

[–]rjvir 27 points28 points ago

It's hilarious that CP3, Monty Williams's former player, is the root of the Clippers flopping. He's a major flopper himself and is the main reason the flopping culture spread to the rest of the team.

Metta World Violence deserves AT LEAST a 5 game suspension. I've been watching NBA for 25 years, and that's the dirtiest play I have ever seen when the ball was not even in play. by moby323in nba

[–]rjvir 26 points27 points ago

I want him gone for the season. That was a disgrace - he could have legitimately killed Harden.

3 games behind the Magic with only 4 games left - Orlando would have to basically lose every game while the Knicks win every game.

Will the Knicks have a chance of getting in and going far on the playoffs by OsamaBinDisielin nba

Shumpert is a great defender, and Melo is pretty solid too. Fields, Smith, and Jeffries are also good defenders, and they also have a defensive minded coach.

All those Fisher clips made me so sad. God damn why did we have to trade him.

You look like a hybrid of Derrick Rose and Rajon Rondo.

If I answer 20 Yes/No questions, (of Reddit's choosing) will Reddit be able to guess my real-life identity? Question #20 by guessmyidentityin guessmyidentity

If he said no to what was asked, we would have been utterly fucked regardless. We should have assumed that his name was publicly listed at his university, that was basically required at this point.

What Centers actually have/had a really good jumpshot? by Panthertronin nba

[–]rjvir 1 point2 points ago

Rasheed Wallace played a lot of C. Also, Andrew Bynum seems to be developing a 3 point shot.

The Dunk Contest I've always wanted to see. by apbball15in nba

What's funny is that we probably could have seen both of them near their athletic primes going against each other in 2004.

Watching it in super-slow motion as the GIF loaded showed just how crazy that shot was.

Lakers get Ramon Sessions for a draft pick. by bookey23in nba

Ramon Sessions feels better than Russell Westbrook when Fisher has been your starting PG since 2007.

Monta Rejects Blake by shark_tacoin nba

I jumped out of my seat when I saw that Blake didn't flop or complain to the refs.

LeBron James steal and 180° dunk by PGsetin nba

I'm curious - is this the first time Lebron has ever done a 360 in game? I don't recall ever seeing it from him.

Do any other L.A. natives have a hard time rooting for the clippers? by awannabetrollin nba

[–]rjvir 1 point2 points ago

Yes. In fact, the Clippers actually seem to be the most hated team among Lakers fans, even more than the Heat and Celtics.

Jeremy Lin hits game winner against Raptors right before the buzzer! by x20mike07xin nba

He was apparently asking D'Antoni for an ISO (source). I would presume that most of the defenders heard him.

You need a center, power forward and a point guard from any time period for a 3 v 3 game. Who do you choose and why? by Not_a_Cluein nba

[–]rjvir 0 points1 point ago*

Michael Jordan at PG, Magic Johnson at PF, and Shaq at C. Ridiculous versatility for a 3-on-3 pick up game. Every player is unguardable.
