I think someone probably did tell him to do it. If most players make that hit and get fined, it's not a gigantic deal, they have giant contracts. Pittman is in the last year of his 1.2 million contract, and I'd be surprised if anyone signs him this offseason, so his fine is going to be a pretty big hit percentage wise. I don't think he makes the hit without some kind of cover.

Darkfall does that, but I've had a hell of a time convincing people to try it because they lose things, they're so used to the MMO idea that gear takes ages to acquire, and the idea of losing something in a fight scares them too much to try, even though that gear takes a few minutes to acquire

No, you can max everything, but the time commitment for some is so large that there is a definite "Must do this first, then this, etc" if you want to PVP, so everyone pretty much has the same playstyle

This seems like a scam. Hypothetically if someone did this that wasn't going to pay, and took bets with multiple people, if they did win the bet, surely some would pay, netting a profit, if they lose the bet, they lose nothing with an anonymous account. A lot of people seem to be taking the bet so it seems like it's a successful scam.

Sam Presti, RC Buford, and Donnie Nelson get my votes. Kevin Pritchard would also get a vote if Paul Allen wasn't a dumbass that fired him a few years ago. Kupchak probably does too, had the Chris Paul trade not been rejected for basketball reasons he might be on his way to his 5th championship

No luxury tax, if you go over a limit at the moment you have to pay far more to the league (that is distributed evenly to the teams not over the luxury tax level) I think with the most recent contract it's 1:2, for every 1 million over the luxury tax another two million goes to the teams, while also keeping the team from getting the money from other teams over the cap, which makes that a very effective cap that even the richest teams don't want to go over.

I think they will, and it wouldn't shock me if it was the max. Up until the playoffs I thought they'd opt for Ibaka over Harden, but now the only way I see that happening is if Harden says he'd rather give being the man on another team a shot. I think at this point he's become too important to the team and the fan base to not pay, it will still be less than James/Wade/Bosh
