Nah, selling computers is too much of a hassle. The effort required to build and support them is just not worth the time, considering the low profit margins required to compete with cheap pre-built warranty-infused units from Walmart. For example, I could gather $300 worth of parts plus $100 for Windows (sorry Linux!), build the machine to sell them for $500, and then be forced to provide long-term support. Or I could just clean their current computer, maybe offer a RAM upgrade, and charge $50/hr. for two hours worth of work, three if they want more RAM. To me that's much easier.
