Two Tibetans in China set themselves ablaze in protest by makanguruin worldnews

[–]raskaal 0 points1 point ago

Stupid Rice_22 says CCP is benevolent and liberated Tibetans. All hail CCP!

Long live CCP

Two Tibetans in China set themselves ablaze in protest by makanguruin worldnews

[–]raskaal 0 points1 point ago

I repeat myself again: making Tibetans happy was not the CCP's objective then (when they liberated the slaves) and it isn't now.

So it is clear, Tibetans should be happy benevolent CCP decided to liberate them . All hail CCP !

Wait, CCP doesn't give a shit if "citizens" are happy or not? I am confused now.

Sad as it might be, it is money that rules. There were talks about Test cricket championship, but that was ruled out for the moment as it would not be profitable for TV channels.

It was the Russian retaliation and "goli" by China that held them back.

Pakistan, in order to distract Indian army attacked from West side, America secretly conveyed message to China to attack us from North (and if Russians attack, they will support them), East Pakistan was already in the East. So US Enterprise was to surround us from the south.

Infact HW Bush had proposed a resolution in UN that ceasefire be done and India withdraw its troops. It was the Russian veto in UN that it was not implemented. They also said to China if you attack India, we will attack you. China, not a NATO member and pragmatic did not involve itself in the war.

Misconceptions: Mostly caste based.

Stereotype I would like to see go away: The inhumane practice of Sati, since it is no longer done.

Hinduism is like Heisenberg's uncertainty principle. At one point it has 84 million deities, at the other point, there is no god. But watch your karma that shit comes back

That is the best explanation I heard. Kudos

It is a philosophy. Carl sagan had to say this about it:

Hindu religion is the only one of the world’s great faiths dedicated to the idea that the cosmos itself undergoes an immense, indeed an infinite number of deaths and rebirths. It is the only religion in which the time scales correspond, no doubt, by accident, to those of modern scientific cosmology. Its cycles run from our ordinary day and night to a day and night of Brahma 8.64 billion years long. Longer than the age of the earth or the sun and about half of the time since the big bang. And there are much longer time scales still. There is the deep and the appealing notion that the universe is but the dream of the god who after a 100 Brahma years… dissolves himself into a dreamless sleep… and the universe dissolves with him… until after another Brahma century… he starts… recomposes himself and begins again the dream… the great cosmic lotus dream.

"When we think of the Hindu religion, unlike other religions in the world, the Hindu religion does not claim any one prophet; it does not worship any one god; it does not subscribe to any one dogma; it does not believe in any one philosophic concept; it does not follow any one set of religious rituals; it does not satisfy the narrow traditional features of any religion or creed.** It may broadly be described as way of life and nothing more." ** --Indian chief justice.
