God you look great. Your face, stomach, and thighs all show hugely noticeable improvement. You pretty much nailed the hotness trifecta. Congrats, I'm proud of you and I don't even know you.

Is it possible to travel as a tourist in the U.S without owning/using a credit card? Any advice, Reddit? by OleaCin AskReddit

[–]randomhobo 0 points1 point ago

It's possible, but you'll need a lot of cash.

A lot of hotels/motels require a credit card as a deposit in case you run away without paying the bill or trash the room. These places will usually accept a cash deposit, but it can be pretty large, sometimes $1,000 or more.

If you want to travel with ID and $1,000 in cash for deposits, you can probably do it, but acquiring a credit card will probably be easier and less stress/hassle.

Casino workers of reddit, what are some things that we patrons may not know about casinos? by legion26in AskReddit

If you're gambling, you shouldn't have to dig around wasting her time, just tip her with chips off your stack, which is sitting right in front of you.

I usually tip $5 on the first free drink and tell her to keep it coming, then I tip $1 per drink after that. At $1 a drink I suppose that could be considered paying for it, but I'd still be tipping $1 per drink at the bar if I was paying for the drink as well.

In the end I can get a good buzz drinking six to ten drinks over the course of an hour or two, and I only pay $10 or $12. That's obviously a lot cheaper than paying for it at the bar.

Exactly, that raises all kinds of other issues. The rule was made primarily to keep the employees from interacting informally with the customers in their off time, which makes complete sense for a lot of reasons.

Nobody wins every time. Even the best blackjack players and card counters in the world. Nobody.

A lot of it comes down to conflict of interest and keeping up appearances as well. They don't want the dealer whose shift just ended to sit down up and start drinking and dumping off money in front of the customers he was just dealing to. It just looks bad.

This is true. But if you tip the waitress well on the first drink ($5 minimum) and tell her to just keep them coming every time she does her rounds, they will usually keep your glass full. But you're right, if your goal is simply to get drunk, it would be cheaper to just buy a bottle from a liquor store and drink it in your room or in the parking lot.

A good way to get free drinks is to go to a bar with the built-in video poker machines. If you're playing max bet, which is usually $1.25 a hand, they will give you free drinks. If you're playing $0.25 a hand, you have to pay for drinks.

Put $20 or $100 into the machine, wait for the bartender to come around, play a hand at max bet and order a drink. It'll be on the house.

Then just sit there and drink your drink without playing more hands. When you want another drink, he'll see that you're playing max bet and give you another drink. Sometimes you might have to play another hand. Most bartenders are wise to this but still don't give a shit, just remember to tip $1 a drink.

This method will net you drinks at $2.25 instead of $5 or whatever, and of course there's a decent chance that you'll win or break even on the hands that you do play.

I've sat at bars in Vegas getting wasted for six hours and spent as little as $15. I once hit a straight flush and made $800.

What the Secret Service could learn from drunken sailors by ParahSailinin Foodforthought

[–]randomhobo 4 points5 points ago

After reading all this I think it's more likely that he drunkenly forgot to agree on the price beforehand and the girl is lying to the reporter.

It's very common in developing countries that if a rich foreigner receives a service without agreeing upon a price, the local will take advantage of the situation by demanding a hugely inflated price and then raising hell when the target protests. It happens all the time, especially with sex workers and taxi drivers, and it sounds like that's what happened here.

It's pretty much the number one rule of travel to the third world, especially the shadier sides of it - never do anything without agreeing on a price first.

Yeah, I did. Zimbabwe has a ton of problems, and it might be one of the worst places in the world to live, but violent crime isn't a serious problem there. I would feel safer walking the streets of Harare than I would walking the streets of east St. Louis.

Is it weird, in today's society, that I value a family relationship over that of money? by Pokemon0891in AskReddit

[–]randomhobo 0 points1 point ago

I'm not trying to attack your character, I'm just trying to make you realize that you would definitely sell out for money if the price was high enough. And your family would sell you out too.

Do you honestly think that you are better than all those people out there?

The computer with which you sent that message is worth more than most people on earth will make in five years of work.

If you offer a starving Indonesian women five hundred dollar to betray her morals and beliefs, she'd probably do it.

Then you can judge her for it, and say that you would never do such a thing.

But you don't know, because you've never been in her shoes.

Like I said, I don't think that being black makes a person violent, and I don't equate correlation with causation.

But the black community in the United States is in a seriously fucked up place.

Is there a predominantly black community in the US that is prosperous?

This makes my blood boil by bfarzin videos

[–]randomhobo 117 points118 points ago

but also because it saddled us with the burden we have today.

Pretty much everyone ignores this fact.

A lot of people, especially foreigners, are shocked by the level of violent crime in the United States, and they think that average Americans live in a state of constant gunshots and anarchy.

The fact is that if you were to remove the predominantly black areas from US cities, the violence and crime rates would look similar to that of Canada or Europe.

Pretty much every hyper violent area in the US is more than 80% black.

I'm not insinuating that black people are inherently violent, because I don't believe that's true. Many impoverished African countries, including Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana and Namibia are far less violent than wealthier non-black countries like El Salvador, Honduras, and the Philippines.

But for some reason, the black community in the USA is crazy violent.

How many women does a guy have to sleep with before his notch-count is deemed respectable? by AlephBaTain AskReddit

[–]randomhobo 0 points1 point ago

The correct answer is 9, but that has to include at least three long term relationships.

Three relationships that last at least two years each, with six casual sex sessions between those relationships.

Then you will be deemed respectable.

Or you could not be retarded, and that would be respectable.

Is it weird, in today's society, that I value a family relationship over that of money? by Pokemon0891in AskReddit

[–]randomhobo 0 points1 point ago

No you don't.

You only value a relationship over the amount of money in question.

You would sell out your family if the amount of money was great enough.

How do you think all this bad shit happens to people all over the world? Do you really think you're better than all of those people?

You aren't. You just haven't been in their situation yet.

Hey Reddit, I think I have sleep apnea. Has anyone dealt with this and have any practical or home remedy solutions? by Charitardin AskReddit

[–]randomhobo 0 points1 point ago

Home remedy solutions are for retarded people who don't want real solutions for their problems.

Take a sleep study, get diagnosed, and if sleep apnea is the diagnosis, then get the surgery or the CPAP.

In the meantime, try sleeping on your side instead of on your back and see if that helps.

Reddit, I have recently moved out for a job, have any of you dealt with depression because of it? by newaroundhere321in AskReddit

[–]randomhobo 0 points1 point ago

This is what is called "situational depression". It's caused by being away from your friends and family, and it's perfectly normal.

It will resolve itself once you've made some friends and you're more established.

Resist the urge to stay home alone and isolate yourself. Go out and meet people. Talk to people. Make friends. You'll be back to normal soon.

How to avoid playing drunk online? by americanslang59in poker

[–]randomhobo 0 points1 point ago

Self exclusion is a thing that most gambling establishments have in place for problem gamblers. The idea is that in a moment of clarity, you will tell the casino to ban you for a certain period of time, six months or two years or, in some cases for life.

Online poker sites added them but they have shorter time frames like a week or a couple of days, in case you have an exam to study for or something. Tilt and Stars had a 12 hour option that was perfect for drinkers.

Check the menus for self exclusion and that may the answer to your problem.
