A good article, but it does not address the tagging issue at all, as reddit, instead of tags, has subs. It is entirely possible that the reason why reddit has subs instead of tagging is this very issue, but I have not seen it discussed.

I really wanted a doll house for my doll furniture. I loooved doll furniture. IT IS SO FUCKING TINY. My friend had inherited his sister's doll house, where our GI Joes led a fairly quiet home life between adventures in the yard. I was very jealous of it, as I had to arrange my furniture on the coffee table and put it away when I was done, or visit my friend.

Mom's BF loudly declared me a terrible fag and a bad kid for the furniture and doll house desire. He hassled me about wanting barbies and wearing dresses till they broke up. (I don't want any fucking non-articulated limb, knotty hair combing, giant grinning barbie thing you stupid meat head! I WANT TINY FURNITURE. AND A HOUSE FOR IT ) He was (is?) a cop. Fuck him to death.

Eventually my mom did end up buying the pinkest most frilly dollhouse kit form jo-anne fabric which I received one christmas. My family was mad at my mother. My family wasn't sure if I was a big gay fag or just a little sissy boy. I was pretty embarrassed.

In the end I still have my doll furniture, and still love it very much, because it is SO FUCKING TINY.

I had not, until just now, realized my desire to tell this tale to the internet, so rock on yous guys.
