What do I do about my shy boyfriend? by liveit_loveitin relationshipadvice

Why do you feel you need to "fix" his shyness? It's not something he can snap his fingers and change. Either you like him for who he is or you don't.

Depends on what you mean by rain gear. Rain jacket and pants, no. But stuff like waterproof sacks and rain cover yes. I use the Glad or Reynolds Oven Bags which are actually a type of heat and water resistant material (not plastic). You get two in a box for $3, I tend to wrap larger items like my sleeping bag and hammock in them because their stuff sacks arent waterproof on their own.

Urban hanging at its finest. by Oblivedin Hammocks

The hex tarp is a great option, especially if you get it right from the get go as it's only a $20 upgrade on a new order. However I regret not forking out more for the silnylon tarp, not because of the weight just because of the bulk. I already had a SilTarp II so I couldn't justify spending that cash again but I like the hex cut better and the little rope pockets are awesome too.

Broke my Hennessy's ridge line -- is it a good time for me to throw in some whoopie slings while attempting to fix? by oakenbucketin Hammocks

[–]psilokan 1 point2 points ago

Well, the steps involved for fixing the ridge line are very much the same as the whoopies, so yeah go for it. While I was in there I considered modifying my ridgeline so that it was detacheable.

Lol, swing by /r/ultralight and ask that same question. As a hiking/portaging enthusiest weight is always an important factor for me. I'd love to bring my big DSLR but can't justify the space or cost of it, so I use a lightweight Kodak PlaySport. Something like this I could also see strapping to my canoe w/o much concern for weight, but there's stillt he issue of carrying several batteries and memory cards which can quickly add to the weight.

Hammock Stack by Torq87in Hammocks

Do we really need to keep posting these pics? Not trying to be a dick, but how many photos do we need of hammocks being stacked on top of one another? It really adds nothing to the subreddit imo.

Yep. You can shake it and dab it with TP all day but as soon as you put it back in a few more drops will squirt out.

I don't believe in beating my cars. So I make them wear a Justin Bieber shirt and crocs and send them down the highway so the other cars will do it for me.

Yep, same here. There's a canal near me with about 3-4 cars visible in it. Who knows how many more are deeper.
