Anyone know where to get a MFLB cheap? by lilythekittenin uktrees

[–]profgunnington 0 points1 point ago

I'm planning on buying one very soon. I bought my MFLB a year or so ago. They hadn't made it by then. :)

Would highly recommend purchasing the mains power adapter if you plan on using it at home more then twice a night.

I was going to say, nothing makes GTA more re-playable then when you have the cheats. Especially back in the day when you had to wait for the little cheats handbooks in Gamesmaster Magazine, etc.

The words coming from her mouth.... My god... Cannot listen to such blatant lies. You can hear it in her voice.

oh I offered punkbuster proof but they just denied it, so, I guess they see what they want to see.

Yeah, the truth. Dim insert derogatory term of choice here

Came here From SRD, did not expect said aimbotter to be female! Same ethos still obviously applies. If you feel the need to cheat in multiplayer games then why do you bother playing them at all? The mind boggles.

I don't think 2.5D platformers will ever stop being great fun. I never really gave them any time when I was younger. But these days I can sit down and play trrough games like Trine, Vessel, Koya rift, Machinarium, World of Goo (The list is VAST) again and again.

Piracy: What influences your decision to pay for or pirate a game? by gabe2in truegaming

[–]profgunnington 3 points4 points ago

Obviously I'm not trying to start a fight with you, I was massively let down by a game I read & watched grow. Just wanted to add the second side of the coin RE Spore specifically. Because it shows poor/greedy marketing way before all these CoD/BF fiascos.

The complete opposite for me. I closely followed its development for about 3 years, knowing the release date was my birthday, I was excited for release for at least a year. They then pushed the game back 2-3 times and finally released something that was very different to how it was supposedly designed. The creator made out like you would be able build unique solar systems with your friends & put them to war with other peoples colonies in other solar systems, etc. But what was finally released was a fairly child orientated build-a-sim game, followed by a very weak & short AoE style game, followed by a space game with very little in the way of multiplayer or... anything really. On top of that, so much of the game was held back to use as DLC "creative packs" later. That infuriated me.

I purchased a physical copy of the game on near release day, took it back to the shop a few days later & got my money back. Followed by my bad review spreading to many friends (who were equally excited to purchase the game) who, in turn, pirated the game instead. Because it was in no way worth the price tag.

I'm going to waffle for a minute: Reading what you said & doing a price check converting from AUSD & USD to GBP, the US Dollar is actually £38, compared to AUS £37. Thankfully, in the UK; Max Payne 3 is currently available for £32 online. But high-street retailers are still selling it at 39.99. (probably more in some stores)

It's currently £29.99 pre-order for PC on steam (I loathe the digital pre-order model for games from big companies, It usually means the most loyal fans end up getting shafted some way or another), which is ,just about, a respectable price for a "AAA title", not £40+ which has been happening the last year or 3.

My problem is that they have staggered the release, as a lot of big corps do. which is unfair to the consumer. Forcing somewhat impatient, yet loyal fans, to buy it on XBOX & PS3 first (usually at a bloated price), which is bad marketing practice for this globally connected world we live in now. I will therefore most likely pirate it out of protest, & purchase it when it becomes an acceptable price for something that: I will have no physical copy of & will no doubt have to sign some sort of backwards agreement that states: I do not own the copy of the game I just purchased

I disagree with, literally, every aspect of your argument. I'm guessing there's no point in arguing our sides because neither of us will change our perspectives based on a debate with an anonymous person over the internet.

Reddit detective level 2 here. I have a link to one of the original threads where the .tif was linked, but the Hotfile link is down now (it was 11 months ago, after all). I downloaded it back in the day, I'm sure others did too. I'm at work however & cannot upload the file right now.

The guy must be a redditor, I'm still hunting through the interweb tubes now. His Etsy is dead, he has a google+ but I do not. Best I can give you so far is that people should be searching their PC for bob_omb_x.tif as I would assume Daniel has tried to remove most traces of it from the internet to preserve his work, which is perfectly fair. :)

Edit So it turns out reddit user EarthLight created a few more of these. Namely the shroom dudes and the sunken ship painting. Check their submitted.

Unpopularscience is right that I will absolutely give out the original for free. I've never actually sold any of my drawings, though one day I'd love to make a living off doing what I love (Who wouldn't?). If you want to help me make my rent though, I would gladly make you a nicer, bigger, print sized version of this with another few detail passes at high resolution, or another image of your choosing. Due to the economy, my time is cheap!

This was 10 months ago, maybe we can rekindle the flame for a set of high resolution digital images from EarthLight? Then people could to donate a few dollars each for the works. I'm sure it would be much appreciated.

Obviously it would also generate a whirlwind of karma.

I have a bunch of old xmen cards (well.. 10-15 years old) that I've kept in a folder. I dig them out sometimes and have a look through, I would never throw them out. :)
