NASL sound guy found a new job.

30 seconds into the first game of this tournament:

Audio from Wheat/Day9 over Husky/Rob stream, then the game starts and it's Stephano's POV.

They couldn't possibly botch it any more if they dropped the camera in the mens room toilet and flushed it.

Hopefully they fix the issues quickly before r/starcraft blows up.

EDIT: Now I'm hearing game sounds from a separate game and/or POV that are so loud they cover up the casting. I just heard a mule land and some zerg units attacking something. Is someone standing behind a big piece of equipment and turning knobs and plugging things in randomly until it works right?

EDIT2: 4 seconds into game2 of Stephano/Illusion I hear marines firing. A barracks hasn't even been built. This confirms that the sound from the POV of the OTHER STREAM is being played. Awesome, I'm excited to see what other surprises turn up.

Very valid point here. I can see legendaries and perfectly rolled yellows costing that much, but again where do those come from? Drops?

We're kind of overlooking crafting right now because not all the patterns are available and even fewer people have lvl10 BS/JC.

When things cost that much, it will be way more viable to just make 10 of the top-tier yellows and hope you get a perfect roll which you can then turn around for a 200mil profit (assuming inflation gets out of control.)

Right now with the current economy, crafting is wholly too expensive, but the crafting costs remain at a fixed rate while more gold is introduced to the market, driving prices up. Eventually yellows will be cheaper to make and re-sell on the AH than just straight up farming (assuming luck and market interest)

The cream is what visually separates the layers. It's the same phenomena as knox blox, the cream rises to the top of the mold (in this case, the bottom once you flip it.)

The point is that the white separates the colors so it doesn't look like ass.

1300dps, 19% IAS, 180STR, 160VIT

It's probably one of the best barb weapons in the game. Almost a perfect roll on stats.

Mind asking him his build? I saw the AMA with the inferno barb yesterday who uses health funnel rune on whirlwind and relies on the crits to heal 1%.

I tried it, works fine for huge packs but I still end up a pile of dead bones on champion packs.

Absolutely. They should make balance changes public with notes but fixes go under the radar.

In the case of this armor rune, I'm betting they fixed it but cant update the tooltip. Maybe we'll hear about it later today. It's still early.

I think patch notes are to tell people of new changes or balances. Informing people of all the broken stuff being fixed will essentially let the cat out of the bag on said broken stuff. You may think it was widely known knowledge but probably less than 10% of the player base knew about it, -- likewise with farmable chests.

Barbs would like to have a word with you.

We never had anything 'broken' like your force armor. I'm forced to drop a few million gold on gear to be effective in inferno, and even still-- I spend 95% of my time against champion packs dying, running, and essentially using all my stuns to help my range dps kill it. I can't melee anything.

Also dying at 98 cost you like 16 hours of grinding in exp.

I'm actually upset how short the curve is, and that dying has virtually no punishment outside of the 200g to repair 10% durability.

I got 2 legendaries in Hell Act4 yesterday to my surprise.

They were both completely abysmal for their level. I'm not sure if they are avoiding legendaries being overpowered, or they just didn't pay attention to the potential in their own engine to roll powerfull magic items that I'm using.

Exactly. If that's the highest level gem that drops, then anything above that will be the cost of 3 of those combined and so-forth.

EG: If the combine from Flawless Cut to [Whatever] costs 30kg, then that gem has a MINIMUM value of 30k. This essetially sets a bottom line for the gem market. Where most gems right now are fluctuating in cost, it's because this bottom line hasn't really been established firmly yet.

If the combination of three gems costs 30k, then it logically follows that 3 of the lower gems 10k? But again that doesn't factor in the combine cost to take those 3 10k gems to combine up, which is kind of silly. I dont think we'll ever see any profit from combining gems below the flawless square cut.

Inspiring Presence passive + Warcry with 10% hp rune. If you have like 20k health that equals like-- automatic 600hp/sec from the shout alone.

My general strategy is:

Ground stomp (24range rune) for control.

Inspiring Presence plus the 10% hp warcry shout (this will be like 600hp/sec)

Sword+Board

The two armor passives.

Skills are:

1- Revenge with 30% proc rune

2- Stomp (24 range)

3- Shout

4- Whirlwind with +1fury rune

L- Bash / Cleave / Frenzy, take your pick

R- Rend with leech rune (leech 9% damage)


Generally I just group things up, stomp, start whirlwinding and spam revenge constantly, mix in a rend to keep that dot ticking. Between whirlwind, rend, and revenge.. if your weapon is good you'll kill them before they kill you.

I still have some issues with champions sometimes because once you kill all their minions, it's only 1v1 and my single-target dps sucks, and sometimes I rely on revenge for healing.

Essentially if you want to play a hell barb solo, you need incredible gear to spec like a dps, or just spec like a tank like I outlined above.

I used to just ignore these and kite them around the zone. I find in hell that that's a bit more challenging. So I'm discovering that I'm custom-building a spec for each act/zone pretty much. When these little fuckers are around I'm rocking the weapon-throw with the increased range ground stun. Snare them, move in for the kill, ground pound to pull them in... it's a lot of effort but you can deal with them 1 at a time this way without running around in big sweeping circles for 20 minutes.
