ELI5 what resource or value does the banking system produce? by loverofmostin explainlikeimfive

[–]precordial_thump 0 points1 point ago

I guess it depends on how we're defining both intrinsic and value.

An intrinsic property is a property that an object or a thing has of itself, independently of other things, including its context.

Even with food and water, their value to us is essentially a supply and demand curve.

Because we, as humans, are assigning value to objects, it must be extrinsic. A good example of an intrinsic property is mass. No matter where an object is or whether or not humans exist, objects will have an objective mass.

I don't use the term in regular parlance; however, I find the meme amusing.

Not necessarily. I had a 19 year old female faking unconsciousness after arguing with her parents, she took an NPA like a champ.

Wow! That's some thick nerve... are you sure, it's fairly thick.

I'm pretty sure. Tendons connect muscle to bone, there's no reason why a tendon would be in the middle of your calf. Tendons are much thicker, and nerves aren't super thin like you may imagine.

It was likely necrotic secondary to uncontrolled diabetes. Diabetic ulcers make up 84% of all lower leg amputations. Diabetes, as well as hypertension, are really no joke.

I hope he was able to dispose of it properly, that's got to go in with biohazardous waste.

Oh, and at 0:14 is probably a nerve, not a tendon.

That's certainly true, but you could say that about anything. Nothing has intrinsic value.

Banks give out and produce money.

They take a customer's money, loan it to other people with interest, and get the bank/economy more money.
