hmm, seems like the danish were heavily subsidizing their wind energy prices. Then again, I'm assuming that most of the EU subsidizes energy prices to a certain extent. (totally unsubstantiated assumption) Eh, maybe the wiki page/DOE is wrong, but I'm still going to go with their analysis.

The wiki site says that the cost per megawatt is a "Levelised energy cost (LEC, also commonly abbreviated as LCOE [8]) is the price at which electricity must be generated from a specific source to break even.It is an economic assessment of the cost of the energy-generating system including all the costs over its lifetime: initial investment, operations and maintenance, cost of fuel, cost of capital, and is very useful in calculating the costs of generation from different sources."

meaning it includes all of that. read the article. The analysis was done by the DOE, based on the lifetime of the power generator.

The conventional costs aren't hidden anywhere.

The cost per megawatt values in the wiki page take into account those materials/labor/maintenance costs (plus land?), which makes it surprising to me that the wind power values are so comparable. It seems like the prices for the various options are all somewhat in the same range.

I'm kind of curious about the cost differences between nuclear plants vs. Wind turbines though. according to wikipedia It seems like wind energy still ends up costing around the same amount. In light of that, doesn't 4000 sound like a more reasonable number?

I've tried with two breakers now. It still trips. I guess it is just too much power? I have a lot wired in, but I'm still suspicious of a potentially messed up PSU.
