B5 though was much more focused on the politics and inter-personal relationships much of the show occurs in quarters, secluded hallways and the shadows (ha!) then in the more public realm that DS9 tended to live in.

IIRC, it was a big deal that Voyager used some CGI in its premier. Although B5 was known for pioneering the use of CGI-only space scenes from the get-go.

You lost all credibility with me when linking to claims that because there is an overlap between OWS and EPS mods that it is some conspiracy going on. You do know that a large number of EPS people (like myself) are leftists who see Ron Paul Spam as disruptive and his message as abhorrent. Then there is OWS, OWS is about as anti-Ron Paul as you can get. This is a movement pushing for wealth redistribution, increased taxes on the wealthy and corporations, and better oversight of Wall Street. All things that Ron Paul opposes. I'm shocked than any disciples of Paul would ever want to be associated with a group of people whose values are completely in opposition to theirs.

The thing is open key encryption algorithms can be shown to not contain backdoors and so many people in academia make their living finding flaws and suggesting improvements you can be reasonably sure that most algorithms that have stood up to a some number of years are going to be pretty secure.

That said the rest of your comment are legitimate concerns. In the modern world sufficiently strong crypto is practically unbreakable so breaches more often then not are about bypassing the need to break the crypto.

Modern thinking is that reptiles as we call them do not represent how speciation occurred well. Birds (aves) are Dinosaurs (dinosauria) and dinosauria is contained in reptilia. Alligators turns out are closer related to modern birds than they are to any other reptile.

Reptile as used in common English is a lot like Herps, a classification based morphology not genetics that groups unrelated species closer than other related ones.

I think unimpeded it does. That is what extinction is. The missing factor is behavior and environment. The Dodo wasn't broke it was adapted to its environment. Humans aren't broke we use our intellect to overcome maladaptions and as such we basically changed the playing field to our advantage. Some even argue that our environmental destruction is just natural selection reasserting itself. While we could alter the environment drastically I doubt we could sterilize the planet.
