would it be a different scenario if it was with someone of the same gender? everyone on reddit automatically assumes guy+girl living together=sex or relationship. girls and guys are equally picky so obviously it depends on the situation but if i went into a relationship knowing that my SO was against the idea of rent and wanted a condo and later had the opportunity i would think differently of it than if they suddenly out ofnowhere decided to move in with someone.

I normally browse [/r/relationships] but I'm really shocked at the one sided comments (shes sleeping with him, shes an idiot, etc.).

Honestly as someone who is paying a crazy amount for rent in DC, I hate the idea that I'm basically throwing away 15k a year when I could be investing in a condo. I also found my roommate via craigslist and just had one discussion (did not run a background check) and things are fine. I've gone through many roommates in the past and random ones I have not encountered a problem with.

IF I could find a situation where I would be investing with someone else (currently cant afford a condo in this area) and had some sort of contractual agreement if one of us decided not to uphold it, I would take it.

You said from the beginning she was dedicated to the idea of buying something right away, it's not as if she randomly decided upon this.

I'm not saying shes 100% guilt-free and it's not weird at all, but there are people out there who would do something like this strictly for a financial reason (myself included).

i would say find a way to annandale or to wheaton (lims hair salon) unless you can find an asian hair stylist in DC. i think if i went to a non-korean place i would end up looking like i was electrocuted because my hair is too thick

Has anyone actually registered their pepper spray? I want to carry around pepper spray since I've been coming home late from the metro and there are some sketchy people but I don't want to go out of my way to go to a police station and give them information. Anyone know if I would get in trouble for using it without registering (hopefully wont have to anytime soon)? Will register if absolutely necessary.
