It is the first time I see the word "stress" used in a translation of a Buddhist text. What is meant by that? Is that stress as we mean it in Western society? The other translation just says "suffering", which I am more used to.

I don't get slide 4. And more generally, I don't get the constant question "What is the random unit here?". Well, what is it and why does it matter? I guess I had to be there... i.e. during the presentation.

Argentina OKs transgender rights: ID changes, sex-change operations and hormone therapy by ditaclonein transgender

[–]orache 0 points1 point ago

"But because the law says people can legally change their identities without having to undergo genital surgery or hormone therapy, these changes can be more benign and even reversible, if some day the person’s self-image changes."

Yes, exactly, this is one of the better argument for making it easier, i.e. this can actually convince even transphobic people.

This is just a preliminary version, the complete one is a book, published in 2012.

Looks quite complete already for most purpose though.

I was wondering. Might there not be some issue with the aeration in your room? The problem could be fixed by just opening some windows, isn't it? Maybe you should consider a change of location?

"This meant that all the other students who aren't causing problems can stay."

Well, that is, until they cause a problem of course.

"Are you a yoga teacher in order to bring more compassion, peace, love, and health into the world? "

Good question.

"should, in my opinion, begin their yoga journey in a class that caters to their specific needs"

Hmmm, so students should first define their "need" and then choose the appropriate class. This assumes a lot of rationality and knowledge on the part of the students. First, they would know a lot about what they need (did she?), Second, they would have access to different classes for different needs (did she?)

Not realistic, and you know it.

"Maybe she was having a really hard time, and if she'd stayed with yoga, it would have had a transformative affect on her life."

<-- That! Totally. I like your approach, though of course it is more challenging and not something most instructors or "clients" (I don't like the word when applied to yoga) are strong enough to deal with. Probably including me as well.
