Perhaps you didn't catch that Fakes automatically creates the unit tests for the method preconditions and postconditions. For my project, after adding the extra Asserts/Assumes to the code base (about 1000 methods), it created around 50,000 unit tests for me automatically (and found about 1000 bugs to go with it).. at compile time.

Granted, it took a few weeks to find the right balance -- it is easy to add too many Assumes/Asserts and watch things go haywire.
