Syria shelling 'kills at least 90' by uzmifunein worldnews

Maybe not but the 'fuck the baby boomers' opinion piece on the front page currently has 2000+ net upvotes and isn't even news.

Could you please not post all these homemade conspiracy bullshit on here and use /r/conspiracy instead. Thanks by brblolin Documentaries

Yes, but I'll let you post your holocaust denial documentary first.

Drama in r/Documentaries about whether or not "conspiracy" documentaries should be allowed. by Sloth_Lordin SubredditDrama

[–]muoncat 6 points7 points ago

There's some great stuff that gets posted in /r/documentaries but there's also a disturbing number of conspiracy loons who seem to inhabit the place, see this submission for an example ('9/11 truther' video that hit the front page a while ago).

This bullshit was on the front page a while ago and somehow is one of the most upvoted posts in this subreddit (9/11 truther bollocks).

Tony Blair and George Bush's phone conversation a week before Iraq invasion 'must be released' by waggawaggain worldnews

[–]muoncat 5 points6 points ago

Thatcher isn't viewed in a Churchillian light at all, she is a very polarising figure who is absolutely detested by many (more than Blair without doubt) but has a good number of admirers on the right of the political spectrum.

Really though, the denizens of /r/circlejerk are way more obsessed with Ron Paul than anyone else on reddit.

Study: Despite Tougher Copyright Monopoly Laws, Sharing Remains Pervasive - 61% of 15-25 year-olds in Sweden share culture online, in violation of the copyright monopoly by maxwellhillin worldnews

[–]muoncat 4 points5 points ago

I'm not arguing in favour of the current copyright laws or anything but 'sharing culture' is probably better known as piracy.

Oh wow, I remember when IE had literally about a 98% market share. I felt like such a little rebel when I started using Firefox nearly ten years ago.

What subreddit have you quit after being a fan for quite awhile? For whatever the reason. by vrakodarin AskReddit

[–]muoncat 2 points3 points ago

Well, it was brilliant up until that six feet under post that got bestof'd, then it basically became /r/stupidquestions as the sub was flooded with newbies. Such a shame :(

Ah ok, that makes sense. I wouldn't have been surprised to learn it was entirely based off a real place in the ex-USSR though.

Is Chernaus actually supposed to be in the Czech Republic? That seems a bit off since the writing is in Cyrillic and the Czech Republic is landlocked, I assumed it was Russia or the Ukraine.
