Advice for a Nursing Major by nursemein AskReddit

[–]mootherofpearl 0 points1 point ago

To be honest, it's a little frightening that you plan a nursing major yet do not understand the difference between an RN and a CNA. You really should know more about your career path. Now, I'll explain: a CNA is a Certified Nursing Assistant. You can care for a patient by: bathing, feeding, cleaning. You will learn how to do these things in your Red cross class. You cannot : give meds, or, make any decisions in the medical care of your patients. Your nursing program will be inclusive of pharmacology, anatomy and physiology, etc.

That being said I think that working as a CNA is a good way to find out if you think nursing might be the right choice for you.

What's a good small family town in New Jersey to move to? by dorisfrenchin newjersey

[–]mootherofpearl 0 points1 point ago

I raised my kids in Garwood, still live there. It's a great little town. Unfortunately it is true that the schools are losing ground. When my kids attended our test scores were higher than Westfield (ha!). This is no longer true.

Reddit, I am a head coach for an athletic team. I am cool-headed but for the first time, really lost it yesterday. How do I address my team today? by yntzoidin AskReddit

[–]mootherofpearl 2 points3 points ago

Appologize for losing your temper. Let them know you were having a hard day. Maybe start a conversation about how "we're all human, has this ever happened to you?" Let the kids know that we all fall, but, it takes a grown up (would have said "a man" but dont want to sound sexist :)) to admit a mistake.

I'm a newly graduated Funeral Director/ Embalmer... and I am working my first child funeral. I need a picture of Optimus Prime looking sad, or solemn. (The child LOVED O.P.). Would like to have him incorporated on the memorial folders... Google search offers no potential pictures. by lissa_morticiain AskReddit

I honestly did not mean to imply that you are a moron. I only said this because I was there when my sister lost her child and I know how even the best intentions of some people upset her. Please accept my apology.
