Nope. Needs cheese curds instead of shredded cheese.

Poor college student needs bedding/mattress advice by digitalixusin Frugal

[–]mooseboy 1 point2 points ago

Air mattresses are win! They can sit directly on the floor and are very cheap (less than $100 for a good one). In my experience, a decent one that doesn't pop right away will last about 1-2 years. This is ideal for a nomad/college student.

My 9900 Bold is has become really slow, are there new updates that fixes the memory usage? by Salfrielin blackberry

[–]mooseboy 1 point2 points ago

Upgrade to 7.1. A number of carriers have released updates for the Bold 9900. There's a guide on crackberry.com that will tell you how to remove the vendor-specific metadata (vendor.xml) so you can use another carrier's update on your phone.

Watch and/or read Cosmos by Carl Sagan. His explanation of how Eratosthenes calculated the circumference of the earth is fantastic.

What is the most hilariously bad film you've ever seen? by FarmlandTensionsin AskReddit

Rubber. It's about a tire that kills people. That's really about it. It's so pointless and bad, it's funny.

Every album I buy gets marked with purchase date, location, and price. Anyone else obsessive this way? by IHeartThe80sin vinyl

[–]mooseboy 0 points1 point ago

I inherited a bunch of my Dad's vinyl and it was marked like this with purchase date and amount. Kindof neat to realize that factoring in inflation, we're paying less for new vinyl today.

Trouble with Google Maps app on Bold 9900 by real_bees_dont_buzzin blackberry

[–]mooseboy 0 points1 point ago

Honestly dude, google hasn't really updated their gmaps client for blackberry in a couple years. Something about a conflict in interest with writing their own mobile platform. You're better off with the built-in blackberry maps client which is a lot better today than it was a couple years ago.

My girlfriend is cutting herself and lying to herself and me about it. How can I fix this? by throwitawayplease1in AskReddit

Return her to the factory for replacement for a new hardware revision which doesn't contain this defect.

Blackberries in the UK? by lazycollegeseniorin blackberry

[–]mooseboy 1 point2 points ago

Just checked on the curve and it has taken he same frequency options. The 9360 has the 2100 mhz band you're after.

Blackberries in the UK? by lazycollegeseniorin blackberry

[–]mooseboy 0 points1 point ago

Per these pages: wikipedia and blackberry.com , you should be good with using a cheap 9900 in the UK. It supports the 2100 mhz band which most carriers in Europe use. Worst case scenario, you fall back to 2G which works pretty much everywhere on the same frequencies.

Many carriers in Europe support pay as you go data plans, though you'll want to make sure to get one that offers BIS (Blackberry Internet Service).

Weird. I know a buddy of mine with a 9900 runs it for certain. Have you tried downloading the .JAD off the BBSSH website directly, rather than going through appworld?

Assuming the device is provisioned on a BES, then no. If it is, then it'll have full access to the corporate intranet the BES server is attached to. If you have multiple internal VLANs, then you'll need to have SSHable hosts that bridge them.
