This is a very common chemical. I've used functionalized PEGs in at least 5 papers over the past 2 years, they weren't even the focus of the paper, just another tool.

Thanks I didn't know about that website. Isn't the [d] nomenclature more appropriate if the whole system is conjugated. I would think the bicyclic nomenclature would be more appropriate in this case?

Does the attached molecule in orange look like 3,4-Diazabicyclo[4.6.0]dodeca-1,4-diene to you? That's the best job I could come up with naming this molecule. I'm writing a response to a reviewer and this issue came up.
