TROPHY CASE

How society changes by briddellin technology

Sadly it seems like I keep loosing all of my photos to some void and that one will probably magically get lost. At least now I switched to lightroom, so hopefully this won't happen, but I already have completely empty folders in Lightroom.

I know this sounds fishy, but apparently I don't have any of my shots in April 2010. I checked my external, but that seems to only have up to 2009. Anyhow, the color is in focus the same as his right ear for the most part, not sure what you were trying to point out there. Long hair on dogs just looks out of focus more easily because how quick it turns wispy. I have another shot I took back in 2007 of similar hair. Apparently I lost those photos too though so I can't show you full scale. Being unorganized sucks.

Hahahaha, focus is just before the eyes. The hair is extremely long. If you want I can try and dig through my old photos to find the unedited original, but no blur was used on the dog.

I can't remember if it was my 50mm 1.4 or my 85mm 1.4, but yes. I would have preferred a 125mm f2 lens though for that shot though.

they look pretty much like stereotypical p&s and phone shots.

Bwahahaha, so really then you just care about the depth of field. The image with the leaves I know I can print out at 13"x19" which puts the frame around the matte at 18"x25". Pretty decent size to hang on a wall. There are quite a few examples of professional photographers using p&s cameras for journalism or even studio shots just to prove a point. The second shot has its issues, but the first shot can definitely be blown up.

I have got some pretty decent shots with my p&s and my phone. My DSLR is just too heavy for me to lug around all of the time, but I do miss the quality.

People take their hate for ska so seriously though :-( I couldn't tell.

Relax. Throw on some Blood Like Lemonade. This was about trip-hop from a decade ago, which is around the same time I used to go to ska shows. People can miss both genres at the same time, and it isn't like I don't also have a copy of Dummy on vinyl.

Honestly I miss ska too. Now everyone at ska shows is as old as I was when I used to go to them... I feel ollllllld.

...and if all I had to go off was that statement from you, I would be unable to determine if you had any smarts.

Somehow I doubt getting arrested, which costs the city money, is going to fix the budget. On the other hand, collaborative environments and dialog are wonderful for finding solutions. Seriously, have the protesters even proposed a solution? I am all for protesting/taking to the streets if there is a plan and the government won't listen, but if you have nothing to say, then you can't complain about no one listening.

You should also consider where help comes from and the history behind the institution that is trying to "help", if you do, you would realize that said "help" is nothing but.

Are we still talking generic, or have you decided to make this case specific? If it is generic, what institution are you talking about? If it isn't generic, then I never said they should offer up their route without guarantees.

Police have helped with critical mass in Minneapolis. I have seen them help with corking and pulling out in front of cars that try to "run through" the ride. This wasn't always the case, and I suppose I haven't been to a ride for a year or so, but it was nice to see. This is coming from someone who had a cop yell and threaten to throw my bicycle in the ditch when I was obeying the laws in Michigan, and someone who was also shot with rubber bullets during the RNC (St. Paul) for having a camera. There are some things that are mutually beneficial for protesters and cops. Many cops have families, and likely kids who they will want to send to college eventually. I don't know the intricacies, but I am not a fan of provoking people unless I know them as a person to be bad.

I was replying to your comment, where you implied to never ask permission when trying to make change. Your comment seemed more of a generic comment applicable to more than this situation. I wanted to point out that you shouldn't BLINDLY turn away help. There are other times where dialog can be extremely helpful.

It would make sense in this case to just ignore the request. Exacerbating an "us vs. them" isn't good for either side, nor is giving out information without promises in return.

Creative? I have seen someone spell out "will you marry me" on an actual bike route, and then when the lady synced the GPS info she saw the proposal. This is just drawing a route beforehand, something that has been done many times over.

It is foolish to blindly turn away help just because you think you are forsaking your pride. Even so, is your pride worth more than the change you want?

Why would you think I was saying that at all? Serious, what indication did I give you that I was trying to say something was "internet smart"? I just stated it isn't very complicated when you only have a half-dozen wires to chose from. I would say it isn't street smart OR book smart. I don't give someone a pat on the back for being able to tell the difference between a square and rectangle either though.
