The problem with your point is that consumer's aren't telling BioWare not to take risks. In fact, the complaints are more that the ending is too bland, not that it was taken in a direction they didn't like. If people were complaining that the story took a wrong turn, you would be right, but the actual situation is almost the opposite.

I would guess that original music is orchestrated for movies so that it can change as the mood of the scene changes. When I've heard licensed music used, it's about 1:00-0:30 of it.

To a degree, yes, but not entirely. One way to put it is that a dead body is a thing, not a person, and so a live body is also a thing. A body is a part of a person, but also a thing. A person is not a thing, but their body is. This is not to say that making a person feel objectified or treating them as such is acceptable.

I think a helpful distinction would be to say "a woman's body" rather than "a woman". Bodies are things, or objects, and that's different than people being objects.
