My friends dad once bought a blu-ray player, hooked it up to a CRT tv (tube tv) and commented on how the quality was so much better than with his normal dvd player..

Why hasn't there been an assassination attempt on the Westboro church leaders? by mHo2in AskReddit

I agree, but I would have thought that some nutter with a gun would eventually show up to their house/place of residence.

Don't get scared off by your first EM physics class. Yes it will be tough, but re-read the material a second time after the term if you need to.

My dad never really taught me things men should know. What are some life hacks that only a dad could teach? by Davidmoosein AskReddit

[–]mHo2 0 points1 point ago

Had to do this, but with a piece of wood.. I moved mobile homes last summer(double wides, etc. I was a pilot driver), here's a picture of one that I had to add wheels to. One of those fucking bolts was stuck good and tight, so I did a trick similar to that to solve the problem

http://i.imgur.com/FvAXq.jpg

EDIT: Another trick for spinning devices, jam a piece of wood (as seen in the picture) or some other long object, between two spokes of the object (a wheel in my case) and hopefully the frame, removes rotation so you can apply torque on that bolt.

Is it too late to go to school for physics? by Merry_Bastardin Physics

[–]mHo2 10 points11 points ago

Beforehand. You always want to learn the math before you do practical stuff with it! Imagine learning algebra while trying to do highschool physics. It'd be a nightmare.

Integrating Math with other subjects. Ideas? by roger_pctin matheducation

[–]mHo2 1 point2 points ago

I'd have to agree. The subjects to best incorporate mathematics into are Physics and Programming. Physics being my favourite. The biggest use of differential equations is in physics, e.g. dampening of spring motion.. SO BEAUTIFUL. http://www.stewartcalculus.com/data/CALCULUS%20Concepts%20and%20Contexts/upfiles/3c3-AppsOf2ndOrders_Stu.pdf
