So how's that Austerity libertarians love to promote so much working out for Europe? by MrFleshin Libertarian

We should probably wait until they actually do some, shouldn't we?

Child Labor Laws. by akorzin Libertarian

[–]logrusmage -1 points0 points ago

How long is eventually?

A looooooooooooong time.

Was there no child labor in 1933?

Nope.

Is there no child labor today?

Nope.

Child labor will exist until families don't need children to work. The best way to make that happen is economic growth vis a vis capitalism and freet rade.

I'm sorry but how is selling cocaine a victimed crime is doing cocaine is victimless?

Really? That sounds like justice to me. Victim-less crime, a clearly illegal stop... I'm not seeing why this is horrible.

So in a completely free market economy will there no longer be families that are so poor they need their children to work to bring in income?

Eventually.

Can't they just tap the land for mana as you play the ability, since mana abilities don't use the stack?

Chuck Shumer (D-NY) introduced legislation this week — in response to a Facebook co-founder ditching his citizenship — that would force wealthy people who give up their U.S. citizenship to prove that they did not do so for tax reasons by haxneyin Libertarian

I'm not exactly for food stamps in their current form, but I'd be able to tolerate them in the absence of SS and medicare.

Honestly, I'd be quite happy if they "flipped" medicare (covered people UNDER 65 instead of over).

We're not talking about ending all social services, we're discussing ending social security and medicare, which have very little to do with handing out bread and beer. Are we talking about food stamps? Nope.

And can you name a society, in the history of the world, that lasted any considerable length of time (at least a decade, but 50 years would be better) that ever worked like this?

...You... you realize social security and medicare were created in the earl 1900's right? And that the US was created in the late 1700's?

What is something you've always wanted to do, but feel discouraged because of your gender? by cptphiferin AskReddit

How about wearing the pink shirt and hair gel? I know plenty of guys who grew out of the metro look because it wasn't really them, just domething they did to attempt to get female attention.

I honestly can't believe I'm catching so much flak on Reddit for claiming high school boys and girls do stupid shit to get attention from the opposite (and of course sometimes the same) sex. It's blowing my mind a bit.

College students of Reddit, do you think the piracy of textbooks is justified? by The_right_droidsin AskReddit

No. Stealing is still stealing. Most books can be gotten for cheap on Amazon or borrowed from the library when needed.

What myths about health/body are people the most stubborn about holding on too, despite the lack of any evidence to support them? by BriMcCin AskReddit

THC is considered DUI for a reason.

The only studies that have been done have proven it is no worse than driving slightly tired so long as you have experience driving high.

So that reason is the same bullshit reason it is illegal.

If it were as easy as "eat less, move more"

You're confusing "easy" with "simple."

It is indeed that simple. But it sure as hell ain't easy.

I can't stand how many people still believe this.

The backlash from this comment is hilarious. Keep on shoving words in my mouth. Please.

High schoolers do silly shit, including pretending to like things for the attention of the opposite sex.

[–]logrusmage -7 points-6 points ago

How do you know they're "pretending" to have hobbies/like things that boys like?

I don't. But denying that the segment doesn't exist is silly. Just like it'd be silly to dismiss the idea of males doing sports, acting out, or pretending to be "metrosexual" for female attention.

So basically, I'm not calling girls silly. I'm calling high schoolers silly.

Reddit what was your "it's too good to be true" deal that turned out to be legit? by strokejammerin AskReddit

Reverse genders, and realize that you'd be in jail for attempted murder.

Yep. No sexism here.
