This was the response to Streeter bombing on the stage. He just one-upped Amir in the same type of prank.

Excuse me, but shaving did not start with the Greeks, thousands of years into human civilization.

Faber v. Barao confirmed for UFC 148. by ialsolovebeesin MMA

[–]lobf 3 points4 points ago

Barao is a big boy. And Urijah has gotta be close to the twilight of his career. I think this is an easy one to call, but I always love to see the seasoned veteran put a beating on the young phenom. Randy / Vitor and Tanner / Terrell are a couple of my favorite fights of all time for that reason.

Since winning TUF 6 Mac Danzig is an 5-5 but has lost two "Fight of the Night" contests and won one "Knock out of the Night" award. Who are the fighters (other than Guida, of course) that are more exciting than their records show? by swantamerin MMA

[–]lobf 0 points1 point ago

You're preaching to the quire, bud. I'm saying the classical metrics for a great fighter are different in MMA, and it's something a lot of people form my dad's generation wouldn't get.

Randy Couture is 19-11 and considered one of the greatest fighters of all time. My dad would scratch his head about how that makes sense.

Stringer Bell is in this summer's Ridley Scott sci-fi film Prometheus by kavorka2in TheWire

[–]lobf 1 point2 points ago

I imagine Idris Elba would be pretty annoyed at being credited as "Stringer Bell" every time a Wire fan sees him.

Guy recounts story of how his 'friend' tried to kill him as a gang initiation requirement. Was shot thrice with a shotgun. by Vranakin videos

[–]lobf 4 points5 points ago

I get that. I'm saying that the intention is the same, and the result is up to chance and the will of the victim to some extent. So if the attempted killer still meant to kill, why do we make the distinction?

[–]lobf 16 points17 points ago

God dammit, one's ability to survive shouldn't mean less punishment for shooting him a number of times with a shotgun.

I'm probably going to kill myself within the next year because I am unable to live up to the insane, delusional standards I have set for myself. by throwaway1101010110in confession

Film degree? by GIJesusin Filmmakers

[–]lobf 2 points3 points ago

No, because you really don't know shit coming out of film school. If you're looking to get in as a PA or something somewhere, they like experience, youth, and passion. It doesn't matter what degree you have.

I moved to LA out of high school, I didn't know what a DP was, or a callsheet. But I was persistent, got in with a production company, and ultimately with a freelance production team. We bounced around town producing shit non-stop for a couple of years. I got a bit tired of the freelance thing, and now I'm a sort of in-house grip for a new media company out here. Point is, I may not be able to dissect and analyze a movie, but I can fucking make one.

Just my 11 year old cousin in Lowe's by qubix85in funny

[–]lobf -1 points0 points ago

No, he's definitely not average. He's clearly sedentary and he's absolutely overweight by at least 10lbs. You should not be exhibiting hardly any fat at that age, let alone what he has. Sorry, if you think that's normal then you're probably chunky yourself.

Film degree? by GIJesusin Filmmakers

[–]lobf 1 point2 points ago

There's always a case of someone having gotten their degree and it helping them somewhat. By by and large, most people I've spoken with have said I made the right choice and just started working. You learn just about everything you'd learn in school by working and you don't get into debt.
