This will cause inflation, it does not control inflation. Everyone who got hacked got their money stolen and put on the hackers account. They then contact blizzard and have their characters rolled back, duplicating the total amount of gold in the system.

Okay, so the people who have made millions of in game gold by hacking accounts can now flood the real money auction house to make real money. THIS HACKING 100% FUCKS ANY REAL MONEY DEALINGS WITH DIABLO 3. The longer they take to fix this the more gold the hackers will have to flood the RM auction house with.

Diablo can be described as a non-turn based rogue like. Another great game that was influenced heavily by rogue-likes is Legend of Grimrock.

I would describe Legend of Grimrock as a non-random, non-turn based rogue-like this is heavily focused on puzzles. It is very well done, and I highly recommend it if that sounds interesting to you.

League of legends is the most popular "free" game on the market right now, as far as I know, and a game I play quite consistently. Every two weeks a new champion that costs 6300 IP is released. Games take a minimum of 20 minutes, and can last at an upper limit of an hour. You get 18 IP + 2.312 per minute IP for a win and 16 IP + 1.405 per min for a loss.

If you were to say every game lasted 20 minutes, to match with the game length of a Tribes game, you would get an average of 54.17 IP per game. This comes out to be 116 20 minute games to buy a new champion priced at 6300. I'm not sure about how to calculate the average Exp rewards in tribes, but I think it is fairly comparable amount of time to get a 100,000 weapon.

For better or for worse, free games need large in game prices to keep people playing and spending money. Hi-Rez is not gauging their customers, they are just matching their competitors tactics.
