Since the age of 3 my daughter has been putting marker lids on her fingers and creepily saying to me "I am salad fingers, do you have any rrrusty spooons?" I only ever showed her the one sketch though and for that, she loves salad fingers. Thanks for the hours of imaginative fun that has ensued.

Hey redditors, did any of you see this movie as a kid? A story of a kid with a lot of donuts. And I mean a LOT. by gaflarin videos

Wow. I remember this show. And, weirdly, I actually tried to explain it to a friend just last week, but I couldn't remember anything much except the kid and the piles of donuts. I just showed it to my 7 year old who said "...that's it? why did you make me stay up so late for something so dumb? I have school tomorrow." I liked it though, thanks.

Similar tactics in Canada too, when Eizabeth May - leader of the Green Party - was left out of the nationally broadcast Candidates' Debate last night even though that decision was not popular public opinion. Not only that but the other candidates said they would boycott the debate if she came. This alone makes her look like a genuine threat to the "old mens club of talk lots, argue more, do nothing." Her absence was conspicuous to all who watched, and has partially resulted in more attention from the public and more interest in the Green Party's policies.

I shared a bus seat with Bruce Cockburn for a few hours, driving from Pristina, Kosovo to Skopje, Macedonia late at night. We shot the shit, I read him some of my poetry and he said it was very good. Super nice guy, and a great sense of humor. I tried to sleep, but since it was a bus full of musicians and a couple actors (Vanessa Redgrave - a total darling - and singer/actress Lulu, etc.) they were all singing and stuff. Lulu sang Amazing Grace in the dark as the bus rolled along and it was amazing, just like her voice. The whole experience was pretty epic...

so "astroturfing" is a term used to connote the appearance of a grass roots movement? ...if only I were being so sly, but no.

astroturfer, as in those who can't/don't want to grow and maintain a living grass lawn? I suspect there's an alternate meaning here that I'm not getting, sorry - I may have to look this one up, given the context.

Let me get this straight: "of course they are (spying on this forum) you dumbshit...Reddit would have to give up the (user) IP's to find you and they probably already have"...???

First of all it sounds like you're agreeing with me, which I don't think you intended, considering the "dumbshit" in all caps comment, and secondly, according to you, Reddit has already handed over everyone's (or certain people's) IP... I'm fairly certain that almost every site/search engine records your IP unless stated otherwise. Startpage/Ixquick or something like that actually makes a point of saying that your IP is not being stored/sold/traded/commodified in some way, otherwise it's safe to assume your IP is fair game.

I support this kind of critical thinking. There should be more questioning in general; particularly of accepted facts pertaining to our science and history.

Yes I have. Didn't have to confront them because they just straight up told me. Acted unapologetic because was doing something that was right for themselves at the time. Second chance ensued. Yes it was worth it. I feel stronger, less co-dependent, more understanding, tolerant and forgiving, and more resilient as a result. I also know that it feels shitty and I should find a partner for whom monogamy fits well and makes sense, like it does for me.
