What could be effecting my computers performance?

I suppose I could try this, my computers startup has not really slowed down (noticeably anyways). If this were the issue wouldn't startup also be slow?

American ISP's suck. My parents still have dial-up at their house, because the only alternatives to cable in my area (such as satellite internet) are ridiculously expensive. I'm not sure, but I think my dad only pays about 10 dollars a month for dial-up.

Silencer used to have chain heal, a spell that called down 3 infernals that did a fuckton of damage (both from attacking and when they hit the ground), and his autoattack silenced anyone you were hitting. I think his other spell was starfall. Was totes my favorite character back in the day.
